DP Tracking adn Adult/Child Meals

Ok!

We have 4 of us going on the Dining plan.

DS is 11 and DD is 5.

When it comes to them using their CS meals, and ordering how does it keep track of what is used as a child meal for our DD5 versus our DS 11 if he wants a kids meal?

Or Does it just allow X amount of CS for a party of 4, etc?

We wouldn't want to take away her Dining allowed meals if it takes away from a child being used.

Does anyone understand what I am trying to say?

CS credits are not tracked on the receipt as adult versus child. Only the TS credits are.

It is up to you to use the meals for which you paid a child's price for children's menu meals.

With a credit for which you paid an adult price, you can likely order a child's menu meal if that is what your 11 year old child wants.

Because Disney's published brochures say children must order from the children's menu where one exists, the DIS does not allow discussion of how to do otherwise...just throwing that in before the replies start coming in.

Last fall, our CS meals were tracked on the receipt. It gave us a run down of how many (total-- no seperation of adult vs child) were left. Have things changed?

I think the OP was refering the the 11 y/o wanting a kids meal, not the other way around. And in that case, then I believe at most places, it would be no problem with the 11 yo getting a kids meal.

And then to further answere your question, it would not take away from your 5 yo child credits and the reciepts and registers do not distinguish between adult and child total CS alotment.

Yes, that was my question.

My DD11 doesn't like to have a heavy lunch, but would rather have a heavier dinner. I didn't know if he had a kids meal if it would take away from her!

I guess we would be saving Diney money if he opted to use a childs meal for his CS!

Plus, my kiddies love the yummy grapes!

I do know it tracks the amount of meals. Just didnt know other wise, etc!

Yes, the CS credits are tracked, but not separately like the TS credits are. It's really up to the guest to track how they are spent.
