Hi folks.

Im thinking its not a good use of the DP to use 2 TS credits at signature restaurant.

We have a signature booked and im thinking about paying OOP. Is this a good idea?

If you're on DxDDP, go ahead and use credits.

If you're on DDP and you have plans for the other credits, then pay OOP. If you're going to have unused credits, use credits.

We're on the reg DP (1 TS per day). I do have a lot of TS booked. So im thinking paying OOP for a signature is a good idea. Thanks!

It also depends on what you plan to order. In general, it's harder to justify using credits at Signature places when the regular DDP. The average TS credit is worth about $35 (assuming $14 for QS and $4 for the snack). So that means you'd need to order about $70 (entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic dessert). There are only a few entrees that will get you most of the way to the $70.

One thing to note is that not everyone in your group has to use credits when you go (i.e., half of you can use credits and the other half can pay out of pocket). My family did that on one of trips, two used credits and one paid OOP. That way we all ordered entrees, but we're able to share the two desserts among three of us.

How does that work? Do you need to have 2 separate reservations?

Nope, you can split the check up anyway you want and pay each check however you want. The reservations play no part in how you divvy up the check at the end of the meal :)
