DP/Dinner/or what?

I saw the thread on the DP at Epcot and did not want to hi-jack that thread, so I thought I'd post my own.

DH & I are planning our VR for April 2011. The more I think about it the more excited I get! But anyway...

There will be about 20 of us and at first I thought we'd all have dinner after the VR (which is at noon). But can't decide on where. Suggestions are welcome!

Now I'm thinking maybe have everyone go on their own for dinner and then meet up for a dessert party (I really like the cheese display idea). I would love something at MK so we could watch Wishes (hopefully there will be a parade that night too but I'll settle for Wishes). Is it possible to have a DP (or the cheese display) at MK? Or is that only for Epcot?

And if we go with Epcot which "countries" can be used?

You can't have a private dessert party at the magic kingdom, there is the wishes dessert party but you would have to buy tickets and would not be able to wear your dress. You can have a wishes dessert party at the Grand Floridian marina or Sago Cay but you wouldn't be able to see any parade from there except the water pagent. In Epcot many of the countries can be used it just depends on the # of people, smaller locations are UK Upper, UK Lower and Morroco.

For our VR in May 2011, we are having our reception dinner at Citricos. So far I have done some planning with them via e-mail, and they have been brilliant. We have decided on not having a DP, but taking our drinks down to the Marina after dinner and watching 'Wishes' from there. They pipe in the music and it is the same fireworks but for free!!!
