DP at UK Pubside?

Can you walk into the pub, buy drinks and then bring them back to the DP?

I ask because my dad and bro-in-law love a beer and that would be good for them

I thought a CM may stand by the entrance into the dp area or something to stop joe bloggs entering the area. Im glad they wont stop us then.

Actually LurkyLoo - i have a question, what is teh area called now which you wrote about in your anniversary dp report? I thought the view of the fireworks was great and really want that as my dp place

That's UK Pubside! I thought the view was AMAZING—even better than at UK Lochside. Oh, I should add, it has a max capacity of 10—dunno how big your group will be, but it's something to keep in mind...

They do give you an event guide who stands at the entrance to keep joe bloggs out, but s/he "works" for you, so you'll have no trouble going in and out.

How far a walk is the UK Lochside to the UK's pub entrance?

It's very close. There's a short, winding pathway that takes you down to UK Lochside, but the entrance to the path is just to the right of Harry Ramsden's.

I was just thinking that would be a great way to save money (avoid having to pay for a bar set up at the DP). But in thinking back to when we have tried to get a beer around the time of Illuminations - we waited in line for about 20 minutes just to get a beer!! So, this may be a problem for guests...ideally it sounds like a fun idea, but may cause some aggravation and keep guests from being able to be there at your DP as much as they should...going to get a beer might become a hassle.... It's just something to think about - but is totally up to you!

I was just married on Tuesday and we did the uk lower and we had some of our friends and family go and get beer and bring it back. We had some even singing withe irsh pub!! It was a blast!

we're hoping to have a guest count of 12-14, is there a way around this 10 Maximum rule? if not.. where else would you suggest for a group of our size? being from the UK we would LOVE our DP in the UK pavillion

Maybe you could use UK Lower/Lockside, I was just looking at this (might be changing my ideas again ) I know it says minimum 20 people but Brit_Jude has just used it for her DP with only 14 guests

Her BEO is posted in her PJ and there doesn't seem to be any extra costs for having less than 20, also from what I gather it's close enough to International gateway not to have to hire transport

haha I know, im turning into you when it comes to changing my mind about the plans
