We're DVC members and staying at SSR for 10 nights and are considering getting DDP.

My MIL will be joining us for 2 nights (staying with a local friend) - are we able to use our DP credits on her also while we dine as a group? Our room would be 2A and 2C (only 1 over 3), but our dining party would be 3A and 3C - so could we just use 3A's and 1C for the meals that she is joining us? I certainly don't want to add her to our ressie and get the DP for her for 10 nights - and I know we'll probably have a few extra credits at the end of the week - so I just wanted to see if this was an option.

Thanks!

No, sorry, you can't share dining credits with others not on your package.

Here is the FAQ related to your question from the brochure.

Can I use my Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family members who
are not included in my reservation and have not purchased this plan.
A. Sorry, you may not use your Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family
members who are not included in your reservation and have not purchased this
plan.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone - the only other time got the DP was in 2006 (i think) and I didn't remember that restriction (though it didnt really apply to us b/c we didn't have any guests), but I know they had made changes in the past couple of year - thanks again!
