Downtown Disney

Our day of arrival I don't want to rush off to the parks. I was wondering if anyone knew how hard it was to get to Downtown Disney from the Polynesian and what the best place (on dining plan) would be to eat with my family. Myself, husband, and 5, 2, and 9 month old. Thank you so much.
Also, is there anywhere in Downtown Disney we can buy autograph books so we already have them when we go in the park? Thanks

There are buses from all Disney resorts to DTD.

The largest store in WDW is the World of Disney in DTD. You will have no problem finding autograph books there.

I'll have to skip on the dining question. The only place in DTD we've eaten recently is Earl of Sandwich -- which is a great place, but it is counter service only.

I have to say, we have just really enjoyed going to Wolfgang Puck Express. It has wonderful food!!

Some other good places to eat at DTD are: Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road and Cap n' Jacks.
