Can someone remind me whether the water taxi from DDT to POR stops at SSR, or whether the two have separate boats?

I don't know about the SSR boat but the PO boat only does Riverside and the French Quarter then on to DTD

I think they must have separate boats Debbie because I'm pretty sure when we took the boat from POR the only stop it made was at the French Quarter.

Deb, as far as I can remember they were seperate boats.

Definitely separate boats. The SSR boat is shared with OKW.

boat for dvc only OKW and SSR and POR has its own.

Thanks all. So how do our friends staying at POR visit us at SSR?

Hi Deb!

In theory they would have to go POR - DTD - SSR which seems a bit of a long way around it! I say in theory as I was on the POR - DTD route last August and someone requested a stop at SSR which was accommodated. I'm not sure if this is a Disney policy or just a renegade skipper though ;)

Or I guess they could do POR - DTD (boat or bus) and then walk round to SSR. It's beautiful walk but I guess you know that already :)

Cheers

Karen

Thanks, Karen - that would explain why I have a vague recollection of stopping off at SSR en-route from DTD to POR a few years back. :thumbsup2

WE've just come back from staying at POR and visted SSR. We got a boat to DTD and then changed boats to SSR. The boat for SSR was waiting when we got there which saved time. Hope this helps

Being said friends, it looks like a double boat trip unless I can bribe the driver to drop us off at SSR. I usually have a few spare cans of beer on my person for just such emergencies.

If it means two boat trips, I don't mind. I love riding on pontoony boat things.

Or, what about a dive over the side of the ferry when approaching SSR? It gets quite close to the edge so you might not have to swim too far. Plus, you would have the added benefit of an extra chilling for the beer when in the water :teeth:

A fair point Miffy, although I do struggle to hold my pint glass above water whilst swimming.
On the plus side, the ladies would be treated to a Daniel Craig type figure emerging from the lake at Saratoga. :cool1:

Would a fourpack answer the pint glass question? Then, you could take more then just the one drink! ;)

I'm sure the vacationers at Saratoga would look forward to your Daniel Craig type figure too ;) :teeth:
