Downtown Disney to Boardwalk

Is it possible to take a disney bus from DTD to Boardwalk area? We want to eat dinner at the ESPN one night? If we can't then where can we park to go to the boardwalk area? Do we have to pay for parking?

Yes, there is a bus from Downtown Disney to Boardwalk. There is free self-parking at Boardwalk, either in the main lot or the "overflow lot" across the street next to the gas station.
