We will be coming in may and one day we plan on spending 1/2 the day at Animal Kingdom and 1/2 the day at a water park. We are staying at SS and I thought it would be nice to eat at Downtown Disney. There is 5 adults and a 12 year old boy.

"Raglan Road" (but definitely request a table by the stage) or "T-Rex" !!

We used to stay at SSR a lot and when we did we got to DTD a few times during our stay. We were fans of WPC for a while but then the service went a little downhill so we tried a new place (at the time it was new) and ever since it's a "must do" whenever we get to DTD. I'm talking about Paradiso 37, we really like to food and the atmosphere, although it can be a little on the "louder" side, its a fun, lively place with good food and REALLY good margaritas!:thumbsup2 Feel free to check out our experience:

Our Paradiso 37 Experience

In terms of food, Raglan Road is excellent. There is Irish Dancing in the evenings, which is fun to watch.

Otherwise for sheer atmosphere, both T-Rex (dinosaurs) and Rainforest Cafe (animals) are fun. The food at Rainforest is good, but the service can be slow.

We were pleasantly surprise with House of Blues. Large menu selections, so it handled everyone needs. The food was really good. They are also on Groupons.

T-Rex is one of the worst meals I have ever had... Raglan Road was okay at best, really I don't think DD has anything very good...

We are big fans of Paradiso 37. We live in Tampa and we go to DD every December for some Christmas shopping and to eat at Paradiso. Our guests always love it too. We've never had a bad meal there.

Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich and T-Rex are musts for us each trip...

We like Earl of Sandwich because everyone can find something they like and the prices are very reasonable. Also Wolfgang Puck Express is a nice step up from fast food.

For us counter service would be WPE or EOS. We like the value on the DDP at WPE and EOS is always a hit. Warm sandwiches that are just delicious.

For table service we don't have any strong recommendations. Instead we would say that everything is serviceable.

Earl of sand which is good for a quick cs meal, but Raglan Road is AMAZING!!! We absolutely loved it there: great food, reasonably priced, fantastic service, and one of a kind entertaintainment. Hands down my fav restuarant on Disney property. I honestly would try to fit in both during your trip, but would pic raglan road if I had to choose.

Raglan Road is a our favorite..we like the atmosphere and the food is good.

For the theme Trex is the best. A 12 year old would love it! RFC next. We like both but I think RFC wins for food. Although DS loves the mozz app at Trex and they have waffle fries. ;) Another fav is Paradiso. We ate at Raglan rd for lunch and it was ok. I had chicken and chips. The chicken was great but the chips (fries) were old and dried out. They must have been sitting around for while! We got app, a combo of 3 things (I think) we didnt like the drunken chicken. Ribs were good and I think we had beer battered sausage. There might have been shrimp or scallops too. IDR. The ribs were the best. Wished we had just ordered them.

First choice and our favorite is definitely Raglan Road!!!
Our second favorite is T-Rex. It is easier to get a reservation for T-Rex by calling the restaurant directly instead of booking through Disney.
