Downtown Disney question

This is probably a very stupid question, but do you need a ticket to get into Downtown Disney?

I'm trying to figure out if we should get the 3 day or the 4 day park hopper passes. We'll be at the DLR from Mon-Fri, but Friday is a travel day so we won't be able to do anything except eat breakfast in the hotel (GCH) and Wednesday we are taking a tour of Hollywood. That leaves Mon, Tues, and Thurs to spend in the 2 parks. If we don't need tickets for downtown disney, I figured we could spend time there on Wednesday evening after the day in hollywood and then we'll only need the 3 day passes instead of the 4.

Sorry this was so wordy, the trip is almost here and I'm getting excited/nervous!

Downtown Disney is a public open-air mall. No tickets needed.

Unforunately the promotion starts May 1 and we are going to be there April 26-30.

your plan for Downtown disney sounds good - it just a small mall but has the world of disney store (HUGE) to wander in, plus other shops. And all for free - LOL

Also, after your day in LA - you might want to spend some time swimming, since the pools are heated and I note you are from nY - you will find the time flies by very quickly!
