Downtown Disney Marketplace parking?

Arriving December 5th and planning for head to DTD for a late dinner. Hows the parking situation on the Marketplace side? Is that where the new parking garage opened?
My old strategy for the Marketplace was to find the lot with the "Lot Full" signs, go around the sign and have my choice of places, I guess that won't work anymore LOL.

Parking is bad, but we had success parking by Cirque de Soleil and just walking.

Parking was terrible. We parked near cirque and walked over to the marketplace. Then we got smart and took the boat back over to the car. During the day it was easy to find parking on the marketplace side though.

I was thinking about parking at Port Orleans when we go next year and taking the boat.

That's a great idea and I have done that before, unfortunately some of my group doesn't land until after 7 so that would be to late. Hopefully the new parking garage will make things easier.

Parking at Team Disney will be closer than parking on West Side.

Thank goodness the parking garage is opening. It's got to help!
