Is it only "night life" at Downtown Disney or are there lots of things for kids too? Would a 4 year old want to go there at all?

Thanks.

pleasure island is more of an adult place, but downtown disney has legoland, world of disney and other fun things for kids to do. My dd loved it there.

NO, we love DTD Marketplace. There is a McDonald's, a Huge World of Disney Store with everything Disney you can imagine, a Hasbro Once Upon a Toy Store that specializes in Disney exclusive toys, and a great Lego store with a Lego playground. There are also interactive fountains. My DD was 3 when we went and had a lot of fun. We could spend a whole day at DTD!

I agree with the others. DS loves the Marketplace but Pleasure Island is more for adults at night. Even though it's a "Disneyfied" night club area, there are still adults drinking and letting loose without the kids.

You may want to try the Boardwalk at night with your 4 yr old. They have outdoor carnival type games, you can rent a Surrey bike (I think that's what they are called) which seats 2, 4 or 6 people. The kids love just playing on the lawn there too. The Boardwalk does have 2 nightclubs that the kids can't go in but they can go into ESPN which has a game room. If you time it right, you can also see the higher Illuminations fireworks.

dont forget disney quest my ds was 5 the first time we went there and he had a ball. mom and dad will too! :wave2:

Yes, Pleasure Island is for the adults. We were there 2001 and our youngest was 5 and she had a ball. In fact, we had more fun then we expected we would. We had an awesome dinner at Planet Hollywood. The whole night was fun, it was our last night there, and we found all the "Stuff" we wanted in the parks, but didn't want to lug around all day. So it was really a great night. We went around 5 pm and stayed till around 10 ish. :earsboy:

There are two small rides at the Marketplace. Our little delegation loved a live DJ show at the outside amphitheater in front of Legoland. There are a few water-fountain features around. They also enjoy boat rides across the Lake.
