Downtown Disney Hotels

Have any of you stayed at one of the Downtown Disney Resorts? Just wondering which one to choose. Suggestions appreciated.

I'd take a look at mousesavers.com they often have discounts on their preferred hotels, many of which are in DTD. The Hilton is the only DTD hotel that offers the EMH Perk, if that is important to you. The Doubletree is all suites, if you want extra room. I'm thinking of that one, because we now may arrive a day early, so may book Doubletree for 1 night. With mousesavers code you get the free breakfast.

I have stayed at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort several times. If you get a Disney view room, about $80.00 a night, you can sit on the balcony and watch the fireworks. The rooms are large and they have queen size beds. They also have a reasonably priced breakfast buffet and a Pizza hut express in the bar. Small pool. Free self parking. The buses to the parks are really comfy. They drop you off a bit further from the gate than the Disney buses.

I would stay there again--in fact my daughter and foster son will be spending one night there on our next trip because they have to fly in 1 day early. Mears has a shuttle from the airport--$ 20.00 one way and $33.00 round trip.
