Downtown Disney Hotels Oct. 19-25

I'm would like to stay in a Downtown Disney Hotel in October but the cheapest room I can find is at the Grosvenor at $79 per night. Any suggestions? I've stayed at the Best Western last year and thought it was OK. It seems that at in October there are no hotel specials in Downtown Disney. I've been told that there might be some convention at that time so the prices will be higher. Anyone else going during that time??

My wife and I will be staying 2 nights at the Wyndham Palace & Resort near DD for $70/night. Never been there before but it looks awesome and they have complimentary shuttles to the parks, which we were happy about!! We are staying 10/24/02-10/26/02.

Just had to respond to a fellow Scot. I am a descendant of the McGregors. We just returned from a great week at Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Disney and cannot say enough good things about it. I believe you will find appropriate pricing at the beginning of this board. If I can be of further help, please feel free to ask. We shall definately stay there again. It was clean, had transportation, and super nice people.
