Downtown Disney hotels - no car?

We are coming to Disney next month. We originally had the Embassy Suites booked but just made a last minute change to the Doubletree Suites DTD because of the sale they have going right now. We had a car booked when we were planning on staying at Embassy Suites, obviously a car is necessary at that hotel. Now that we will be staying in a Downtown Disney hotel and have bus transportation to the parks, I'm considering canceling the car and just booking an airport shuttle. Is it doable to stay in Downtown Disney without a car? TIA.

yes you can stay at DD w/o a car - but price the shuttle first.

now you are close enough to walk to some reasonable places to eat in Crosswalks.

Thanks for the reply! Just found out that our rental car is nonrefundable anyway. :/ So I guess we will have a car! We booked it through Allegiant Air. So if anyone is thinking of getting their rental car through Allegiant Air, make sure you don't change your mind!
