We have never stayed offsite before and are considering coming down one day early and staying offsite for that one night before moving over to Pop Century. We are looking for a nice offsite hotel near Downtown Disney that is clean and costs less than 100 dollars. We are also looking for something with a nice pool.

Does anyone have any suggestions? If we go down early, it will be on July 2nd, so we will be making our decision by this Thursday.

TIA!!!

Thanks. Right now the Hilton is a little higher than we want to go, but I'm going to keep watching LMT.

What are thoughts about Sheraton Safari or Courtyard? Both are hitting the $80 mark through LMT. Does the Shearaton charge a resort fee?

We stayed at the Royal Plaza! It was awesome! The rooms were spectacular (tower room, 11th floor, park view) you could see the MK fireworks and all of DTD from the room. The beds were amazing (lots of pillows, 400 count sheets!) the room service great, all good. I got a really good price through MouseSavers. You could walk to DTD (took about 10 min, walking slow). Shuttles to the parks were very efficient and the drivers were a hoot!
I would recommend wholeheartedly.:thumbsup2

check out country inn and suites, lake buena vista. Right down the street from downtown disney. We got a room for about $65 in may. Very nice hotel.

Well, we booked our one night at the Sheraton Safari through priceline for 70 dollars. We are kind of nervous about but it's one night and it gets us closer to WDW.

I just booked the Royal Plaza for one night before checking in to the AKL. Reserved it through Bookit.com. Got a good deal I think.

*Free room upgrade from traditional to deluxe
*Free buffet breakfast for 2 adults - kids under 10 eat free
*Coupon for Dinner is buy 1 get 1 for adults - kids under 10 eat free
*Complimentary shuttles to/from parks

$79.00 + tax. There is a parking fee and resort fee though, but most DTD hotels have that.

I originally booked the Best Western, but changed it due to the reviews. Not to mention I had clients who stayed there just recently and didn't like it at all.

There's a thread about the Sheraton Safari on the Budget board. People seem to like it.
