We are travelling with our two DD (aged 8 and 9 months) and we are considering our evening dining options at Downtown Disney. I would like to know which restaurants are suitable for kids, especially the youngest.

The obvious choices are ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe, but I was wondering if any of the others are suitable.

Any comments about other baby friendly restaurants (not Downtown Disney) would be appreciated as well

Thanks

Rainforest is the most suitable for kids. House of Blues is pretty noisy, so our kids couldn't really bother anyone. (Although I didn't really care for the food all that much.)
I feel that the rest of the DD restaurants are a little "stuffy" for small children. Catal, Ralph Brennan Jazz Kitchen, Naples Ristorante, etc. seemed to be geared more for couples and business people. Ralph Brennan and Naples do have a take-out side of their restaurants, but it's not really like a restaurant.

I'd go for Rainforest. Food's great. Service can be a tad slow, but it is very kid friendly.

Good luck!

Roy

Also, most of the restaurants in DL and DCA are baby friendly, except for Club 33. :-)
Don't forget White Water Snacks in the Grand Californian. We really like this place.

A little tip you might try is to purchase the Rainforest membership card. (cost is 15.00) I believe you can apply online. When you purchase it, you receive a $10.00 gift certificate for your next visit, discounts on your meals, and most importantly, you get to go to the FRONT of the line! That is a plus in my book!
Have a great time!

Do you happen to remember if you can print the card online or do you have to wait for it to come in the mail?

I purchased mine in the restaurant so they gave me a temporary card. Why don't you check out their website, and you can always call one of the restaurants to see if they can help as well.

Hope this helps!

I tried Naples Ristorante last week when I was there - it was awful! I sent my meal back twice - the second time I told them to keep it. The atmosphere was nice - there's an outdoor area where you can hear the bands on Thursday and Friday nights (probably Sat too - we left Sat). They might have good pizza, but the shrimp, crab, lobster pasta was terrible. My friend had the lasagna and she said it was just ok - not worth the price.

We ate at Ralph Brennan Jazz Kitchen for lunch - great gumbo! The La Brea Bakery (down past the disney Store towards Disney) has really good food - you can get it to go if you want. We ate at Catal for breakfast - wonderful coffee and food. Great service. The House of Blues has an outdoor patio area (fenced in) we ate at - not too noisy, get to people watch. There were several families there - one really large one (maybe 12 people, including kids). I wouldn't count HoB out.

I agree about White Water Snacks - great burgers and pizza. You can sit outside and watch the people at CA or sit inside. Very friendly CMs.
