Downtown Disney Dining-Is it worth it???

After reading through many posts, I've found there's hardly anywhere to eat that takes reservations. I'm on the dining plan and I am not sure I want to take the risk of trying to eat at these places. How long are the waits normally in June? Is it worth it for either Wolfgang Puck's or Capt'n Jacks? Should I just stick to my reservation at Shutter's at CBR (they do have a better menu for Children than the other places) and then head over to DD.
I swear as the vacation gets closer I find my self over scrutinizing my decisions I made 2 months ago!!!

My vacation is in August. I was able to make a reservation at Wolfgang Pucks Cafe. I have the DDP. I was unable to make one for Captain Jacks but you can try Wolfgang Pucks.

House of Blues takes reservations and it is a family favorite of ours.

Before trying Captn Jack do a search on the dining board, we didnt have a great meal here and I have read MANY other posts also along the same line. I would try else where first and then do Earl of Sandwich as a last resort BEFORE captn Jacks.

Thanks to all who wrote. Since I had posted this, my travel agent found out that I could make a reservation at Wolfgang Pucks Cafe.. There were so many conflicting things about this. My Birnbaum book said that they do not take reservations but then when I went digging throught this site, I read that people did.
I am really looking foward to dining here. We haven't enjoyed WP's since we lived in Phoenix years ago.
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions here using the dining plan??
And also a time estimate on getting from the CBR to Downtown Disney??
