Downtown Disney Buses

There are NO buses from DTD to any Disney theme park or the TTC. Buses run to Disney resorts ONLY.

Approx travel time from Pleasure Island to Polynesian would be 17 minutes, give or take. (Assuming a stop at Typhoon Lagoon)

That is an incomplete answer. Downtown Disney uses their own transportation (similar to Disney buses) to transport guests to the theme parks. The travel time is probably similar depending on where you are going. Check out mousesavers.com or wdwig.com for more info.

I suppose the question could lead to some confusion.

If you are talking about using Disney Transport to travel from Downtown Disney, then refer to my answer above.

If you are talking about going from one of the Downtown Disney area hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd, then the post but Chris would be the one to refer to.

Yes, I mean Disney buses running from Downtown Disney, we'll be shopping there in the afternoon one day, then we have an early dinner PS 'Ohana. I read somewhere that in order to get to the Poly from there, you could either catch the bus directly or take it to the TTC, then monorail from there (?)- sounded pretty confusing to me since I thought I remembered buses only running to the resorts like you said. Thanks for clearing it up Tyler!

The poster was asking about Disney busses, not DD busses.

I am confident that Tyler knows what he is talking about since he drives the busses for Disney.

Oh, do you mean the time you were doing a Studios run and drove past the entrance? ;)

I was taking the guests on a tour of the scenic route, showing them other resorts that they might be interested in staying at!

OHHHH, the private scenic tour. :)

Ah, memories of the Mears Shuttle from the airport, which I have since forsaken in favor of a rental car which sits in the parking lot while I take Disney Transport to the parks.

Travel tips:

(The real reason for the rental car is off site short trips. On one week long WDW vacation I used the rental car exclusively, hustling over to a theme park early to observe morning rush hour at the bus station so I could catch Tyler driving in and have a chance to meet him. Did not succeed.)
