Mods feel free to move if needed.

I was wondering what restaurants in Downtown Disney or close to there have gift certificates on restaurants.com? I would really like to save some money on dining while we are there because we do not have the dining plan and are staying our first 3 days at an off-site hotel near DTD.

Also, if you have used restaurants.com certificates what are the limitation on the certificates and please review the restaurant.

thanks in advance!!!

I used a HOBlues certificate(dine in only, no Gospel Brunch, etc. Minimum $35) from restaurant.com 2 weeks ago. The food was good, but the only thing is that for us, the service was sloooow. Hopefully that's an isolated incident. We also used a cert for Giordana's(similar dine in only, minimum $35, wasn't hard since the pizza was $27) on Apopka for the deep dish pizza which was tasty, and huge. Didn't need the appetizer before that pizza!

I have one for Giordiano's ?spelling it's on sand lake road, not far. I've heard great reviews and the $25/off 50 often sells out..

Swan and Dolphin: Garden Grove, Il Mulino & the sushi restaurant (kimono's??)

We've used them at HOBlues before and were happy. Our service seemed slightly slow, but nothing major.

I'm thinking it was a fluke since we started with one server who was leaving her shift and another server took over. Glitches happen, my DH liked the Mushroom Penne a lot.

We used a certificate at Garden Grove, and including parking and tip we still spent $100 for 2 adults and 1 child. The desserts were awesome, service was awesome, but it was expensive.

I don't think the HOB ones are available anymore. I was going to purchase one and have been looking for several weeks. If they still are, someone post the link because I can't seem to find them. I think they have been replaced, by a different HOB cert that isn't good at Downtown Disney. We used one at shula's a few weeks ago. Really good meal there.

Same here. Wanted HOB but they're not up any longer.

We used the same two certificates and were quite happy with the food. Also had to order more than we could it at giordanos.

Can someone please tell me where the closest Giordano's is located to downtown disney? Is their one right in DTD? I see a few different locations listed and I'm not sure which I should go to since we will not have a car. Thanks for any help!

If anyone remembers, would you mind posting how much your certificate was for, and how much your total bill was even with the coupon? We are going down in 2 weeks for special olympics and I have considered trying something new, but honestly every time we have used the coupons we have still spent as much as I would expect to spend anyway, or not been impressed with the food. We have tried HOB and Garden Grove already.

I guess what I'm asking is, have you ever used a certificate and felt like you got a really good deal.
