Just checking to see what everyone likes for full service meal downtown disney. My understanding is that there are not very may restaurants that offer it...and I have never been a big fan of the restaurants there

Trip for some people is scheduled for Jan 2nd. They arrive around 4:15 and plan to head to DTD that night (since they won't be going in a park)...trying to decide if they should use their TS credit there.

No to Rainforest Cafe and Wolfgang as they can eat their in Califorinia.

This only leavs Raglan Road Irish Pub, Planet Hollywood, and Capn Jack's.

Any reviews on Capn Jacks or suggestions how to use a TS credit that night...

We ate at Raglan Road 2 years ago and loved it. Went back last week and hated it. We felt like the quality of food has gone way downhill and they took some of our favorites off the menu. We'll never waste another dime on Raglan Road. We ate at Planet Hollywood last week and thought it was great. Fun atmosphere and very good food. I've read alot of negative reviews of Captn Jacks so we didn't have the nerve to try it.

thanks for the info.....

Making me think of not using the Dining at DTD..

Planet Hollywood is LOUD and when we were there our service was horrible. I mean really horrible. The food was good though, so maybe you could hope for good service. Cap'n Jacks is such a waste. Awful food. I would have had a better seafood dinner from the freezer section of my grocery store.

Try a TS at a resort, we have enjoyed all of the sit down meals we have had at resorts...

This was my thought too, but I am trying to decide the easiest transportation to a good place.

Example: Plane arrives at 4:15 then take magical express to All Star Music. Then I know it is harder to get to another resort (without going to DTD first or Park).

BUT I agree - the resort meals are a lot better!!!

That was just one person's view on Raglan Road. We go every trip an it's our favorite restaurant. Just returned 2 weeks ago.

Get a reservation at one of the resort restaurants. Stick with the Magic Kingdom resorts or the Epcot resorts. That way, you can hop a bus from Music to Magic Kingdom/Epcot and monorail/walk to the resort. I would suggest:
Ohana @ Polynesian Resort
Kona Cafe @ Polynesian Resort
1900 Park Fare @ Grand Floridian
Captain's Grille @ Yacht Club
Cape May Cafe @ Beach Club

On our arrival night we have made an ADR for Grand Floridian Cafe. I have decided to take a cab there and have our dinner. For the return I am going to take the boat over to MK and then take a bus back to POP. I am expecting the cab to cost around $15 - $20.

You are absolutely correct, that was simply our opinion. I should have been more specific.

The new Kouzzina by Cat Cora might be one to try too...same way of getting there as the Captain Grille and Cape May.

We have always used the dining plan at Wolfgang Puck's and really enjoy it. We frequently stay at SSR and we like to walk over to DTD.
