Downloading music?

Where do you download your music from? My son wants some more songs on his MP3 player and I don't want to use Limewire anymore because of all the virus'.

Is there a site you can buy songs from and not worry about all the spyware and virus's????

Maybe we should start our own disboards MP3 sharing group. People join the group if you have music (Disney theme or cruising music to play while aboard a Disney ship). People join the group and we trade MP3's via email.
I would love to get a copy of Zac Brown's 'Toes'.

I do get all my music from itunes, but there are places to purchase music in MP3 format. There might be a link from windows media player to help you find one.

It should still work. I think it depends what format your mp3 needs. Years ago my son's first mp3 was a sony and it was very convoluted and not user friendly to download off of itunes for it. I don't remember how we did it but it was a hassle. Not long after he got an ipod and it was a world of difference. EASY! I would suggest you try to eventually get an ipod (even a shuffle if $ an issue for him) and keep it simple.

If that is not an option, you could also try yahoo music-they have downloads for sale and a really good selection.

Try Puretracks.com. I've purchased a lot of MP3's off of that site in the past, and it's a Canadian site.

I also use Puretracks.

My usual webbrowser is Firefox, but I get better results with Internet Explorer on the Puretracks site. There's supposed to be a "preview" (should be "prelisten") available for most tracks, but it doesn't always work.

Puretracks is frustrating if you're used to being able to find any track you want on a peer-to-peer filesharing site. It's like a music store; you go in and see what they have, instead of expecting to find everything you want.
