Downloading Fonts

Hi! I am TRYING to make shirts for our trip but just can't get the disney font to work! I have downloaded it to my fonts but it doesn't show up when I go into Microsoft Word. Any suggestions from the experts??

When you downloaded the font, where did the file go? Usually, it's a zip file and it may go into my docs or temp or somewhere else. If I can't find it, I try to down load the font again and it either will down load or it will tell you you already have it and show you the path. WATCH where the file goes! They usually unzip automatically. Then you go to that file, and copy or move the font into your "fonts' file which you can find on your control panel at least in windows xp.

After you unzip the file, you need to install it. Unzipping doesn't do that for you with Windows XP.

1. Go to Control Panel & open the Fonts folder.
2. From the File menu, choose Install New Font.
3. Navigate to the folder you just unzipped it to. (In the lower left of the Add Fonts window.)
4. Wait for the List Of Fonts area to populate with any fonts in the folder. Sometimes this takes a while & you might think your computer isn't doing anything...but if you look about the Drives portion (lower right) you'll see it counting "Retrieving Font Files".
5. Highlight the name of the font you want to install & click OK.
5b. If you have a bunch of font files in this folder & aren't sure if they're installed, you can choose Select All & then OK. Whenever it finds a font you already have installed, you'll get a message about it. Do NOT choose Cancel as this will stop the install. Choose OK & it will just continue installing fonts from that folder until it runs into another that's already been installed.

Now the font should show up in Word.
