Was the regular DDP offered this past August/September or was it the QDP that was offered for free?

Will I be able to downgrade to the QDP from DDP if the regular DDP is offered free or do you have to take that one. I did the QDP in May and think that i'd rather go with that again.

Has anyone done this? Thanks, Pam

If you were staying at a value resort, it was the QDP. If you were staying at a moderate or deluxe resort, it was the regular DDP.

It has not been permitted in the past. Some people reported being able to convert a TS credit into a CS credit, but even that is not certain.

That is not correct. The August/Sept free dining offer was for the regular DDP, no matter what resort you booked. The free dining that was/is offered for later in the fall was only QDP if you were in a value resort.

I have free dining for Dec. at POR. We asked if we could downgrade to the quick service plan. We were denied and told that you can upgrade but not down grade.

Sorry about that! It's so hard to keep all these deals straight! :confused3

But if the new "tiered" offer is successful, I don't see them going back to giving everyone the DDP again.

I understand how people like QSDP, I would prefer it but I wouldn't want Disney to change it to that for Value resorts because there are others that like the option of TS. You can always exchange your TS for a CS meal but you do lose out on the mug and extra snack a day.
