Down Right Rude :(

Some people have more money than class.
I'm sorry you had to experience this, but you handled it with much more dignity than I would have!:thumbsup2

Not sure where to put this but I think it will make for a good tip. My 10 yr old dd & I were waiting in line at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Downtown Disney when a lady in front of us started complaining out loud to her daughter that they should have an age limit of girls getting their hair done to only 8 yrs old and younger. My dd heard this lady say that and the look on her face was so sad that she almost started to cry. I looked at the lady and told her that she should learn to keep her comments to herself because my daughter is getting her hair done and she is 10 yrs old. Well she went on to say that she had to cancel her daughter's appt. and they were hoping they would be able to get in without an appt. She went on to say how could she tell her daughter that she couldn't be a "princess" that night. I then stated at what age do you tell your daughter that she is no longer a "princess". I then left it at that and unfortunately she did not get in. After my daughter had her makeover she felt so beautiful and loved every mintute of getting her hair done. :thumbsup2

That is so rude! I went and had my hair done quite a few years ago when I was 14! My younger cousins were with me too ages 9 and 11. And we all had such a good time! The ladies in there were so much fun and told me they had a few girls 21 and older come in and they enjoyed the age range!

You'll find a lot of prissy snobs in Disney. Just have to tune them out.

Yeah, I looked at the Disney website, and the age limit was right there. I did not see it last year, so I am almost positive it is new. In fact, I seem to remember people saying that anyone regardless of age could do it. Bummer. Maybe I will have to write that letter. Never thought to do it. Thanx!

Haven't heard about the age limit before. My dd went to BBB in 2009 on her 40th birthday, lol. Then we had dinner at CRT. That was her wish for her 40th..:goodvibes

Kudos to all those with a positive attitude and a passion for kindness!! I am single, middle aged 50ish "kid" who loves my trips to WDW and even photos with the characters even after 40+ trips to WDW over the years !!! As mentioned before we all are "kids" at heart and enjoy being away from the real world for a while and enjoying our surroundings at WDW. What is wrong with enjoying yourself at the "happiest place on earth" regrdless of your age?? Pooh, pooh on those negative people... They will get their "justs" someday...

:( It helps me to remember that the SAD people who complain about who's in line in front of them and how it ruins their trip are just that. Sad. they most likely do this in ALL aspects of their lives. Bullies.. Bullies who (them selves) never grow up and it makes them feel better when they tear others down.

That actually makes me sad. It also makes me wonder who decided to tell that mom that she wasn't a princess any more. Way to stand up for your DD.
