I work for starchoice and we lost our feed in halifax for a couple of hours because one of the dishs blew off a roof! So i guess there ere really strong winds down there! I hope Point Plesent Park is still standing!!

We live about an hour down the south shore from Halifax. We had a ton of rain and fairly high winds all Saturday afternoon and night. Our power was out for only about 12 hours. Today the sun is shining, our son was out playing all afternoon in a tee shirt. Lots of leaves to rake.

We had a Very windy/rainy night and finally lost our power this morning for about 2 hrs. It's now after 4pm and the sun is out but still windy. Overall we had a few hours where we thought we might loose our beautiful big birch tree out front but it made it through OK.

Tons of water in low-lying areas here in Saint John NB, but other than that we got off lucky! We usually get really bad wind-- luckily, we were prepared and took all of our things in.

We did not get it as bad as we were expecting here in Charlottetown either. It was quite windy this morning (and through the night-after midnight) but we didn't get as much rain as we were supposed to, and it has been pleasant since early this afternoon. I haven't heard about the rest of the Island though. Some places did lose their power for a while too.

My grandmother lives in Charlottetown-- I'm sure she gave my mother the latest news during her weekly Sunday call! We have a cottage in Stanley Bridge, and the wind has been VERY rough there some years. Our neighbor's boat has ended up across the bay, yards have been flooded, seaweed covers lawns...I guess we're used to it by now, though! I bet some of the smaller fishing villages got a bit roughed up-- I'll have to check.

It is now over 24 hours and we still don't have power. We lost it at 7:30 yesterday morning and at 9 last evening I finally got through to NS power. they said nobody reported it out in our area. I think it comes from another area that was reported, hopefully it will be on by the time I get home from work or another looong evening.
