Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

I second Jen... club level at Poly with MK view. That would be devine!

Okay - no idea about what ride to get stuck on. Something that had comfy seats I guess!!!

Resort - It's a tie between Disneyland hotel in Paris or Aulani in Hawaii. Both of which I actually plan to get to someday!! If it were to be at WDW - Poly Club level with a MK view for sure!!!

I want to stay in one of those amazing suites at the Yacht Club

But if it's one I haven't stayed in before (not that I was in a suite) I guess it would be....

Aulani or one of the DLP hotels. I'd be happy just to be in Paris (though would have work hard to convince Jeff to go to Disney, in Paris) so any of them would be ok with me I think!

Or the boardwalk but not during prime pool season as the clown does creep me out.

:rotfl:

Wow, I was so behind from not being on the DIS much during Christmas and New Years, but I'm all caught up now. Can't believe how soon you both are leaving!

I always enjoy the countdown questions. Let's see...

What former Disney attraction/ride/parade/fireworks/etc that you NEVER experienced do you wish you could?: World of Motion looked like a lot of fun.

If you could stop any ride at any point to explore more, what would you choose?: Peter Pan's Flight while you're flying over London.

What Disney attraction do you think should be made into a movie??: I like the sound of your Jungle Cruise idea LL, so I'll go with that.

What resort (money is no object) would you like to stay at the most, that you haven't stayed at before? It can be ANY Disney property from all over the world. : The Disneyland Resort at either Anaheim or Paris. I haven't been to California at all so I think I'd give it the edge, but I missed Disneyland Paris when I went to France years ago and would love to see it (not to mention the rest of Paris).

Tough question, for quite some time it would have the Polynesian, but I was so lucky to stay there with the best discount ever (pay 4 nights, get 3 free and a 200 $ gift card).

I think it would be one of the Tokyo Disneyland Hotels, possibly the Ambassador? But the Disneyland Hotel in Paris and the Boardwalk are very very close behind!!
That was a super duper discount!

I want to go to Tokyo too. I would actually love to hit up all the Disney properties in the world.

Boardwalk used to be my dream resort but I'm lucky enough to be staying there in 18 short days!

I am loving your countdown. Since we added a night on the beginning of our trip we are arriving on the same day you guys leave but we aren't getting in til 10pm on the 1st.

If I could stay at any Disney property it would be the Polynesian. I :lovestruc the theme. It reminds me of my time in Indonesia.
Awww bummer that we are just missing each other!!
I think park bag angst is like a right of passage. Much like shoe angst and packing angst. Just goes with the territory. I'm not familiar with the berry pattern, but I have seen the "In a Tree" and it does look super cute, so I am no help there.

Other than the fact that I'm a Vera enabler, which means I shouldn't even be part of this conversation since I'll just tell you to buy both. :lmao: Bad Kat!!!

I think something to do with the concept of Spaceship Earth would make a neat movie. Just going through a couple or a few of the time periods would make for great cinema.

Narrated by Jeremy Irons though. I'm not on the Dench bandwagon. ;)

You know, I did notice some other things like the staging of the treasures, and the tilt of the chair, and the parrot...

Um, yeah.

Did you believe that? pirate:

I do miss it, so much. It was great. :thumbsup2
I've had park bag angst from the beginning, I'm tired of it, it's tired of me, it needs to go home or go bother another DISer. :rotfl2: Marc is taking me to the Vera Bradley outlet on Saturday...as long as the snow stays away...:headache:

Spaceship Earth would make an excellent movie!

Totally missed the most recent update, silly me!

What resort...hmmm.....

truthfully, I think the resort I'd most like to stay at is the new one they're building in Hawaii. Hawaii is sort of a dream destination for me, and I've been lucky enough to stay at almost all the properties in Disney World, so I'd have to say that. I think they'll do a beautiful job and it would be nice to take a vacation like that but still have that Disney managed feel.

Being of course, that I had unlimited funds and could afford whatever they're going to charge for that privilege. :lmao:
I totally forgot about the resort in Hawaii! The pictures I have seen look amazing, ahhh yes. I have a hankering to got o Hawaii now. :lmao:

I think mine is still Grand Floridian. I think it just dates back to my childhood dreams, but I think until I stay there---even for just one night---it will always be my dream resort. Hmmmmmmmm.......maybe someday!!!! :)
Grand Floridian is gorgeous for sure.

Yay for a trip in the "teens"!!! ;)

Hmmm...resort choices. I would love to go to Disneyland Tokyo some day, but I also would enjoy trying the GF for once. That is a resort I have been up and down about, I guess that is what happens when you a mom to boys!!! But actually, I bet it is a neat place to stay... and I mean a suite, of course!!!!
I never thought I'd want to stay at GF until we explored there in September, it was so pretty and peaceful.

I don't think my place would change I would still love to stay at the Poly, but I'm going to be more specific and say I want to stay Club Level at the Poly WOOT WOOT!!!!

And Kat...I didn't believe for a second that you noticed anything but that handsome pirate: LOL

THREE WEEKS, THREE WEEKS....holy moly do you know what I have to do in THREE WEEKS....now begins the panic it's creeping in LOL :scared1:
Just don't forget your good friend Leslie when you stay at Poly CL. :lmao:

I second Jen... club level at Poly with MK view. That would be devine!
It really would be!

:rotfl:
I want to go to Paris and London so very badly. I keep telling myself no more Disney trips until I go to both places but I don't see that happening.

Boardwalk or the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim! Those are my two resort choices, right now! :goodvibes
Oooh, Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim is another good choice!

All very good answers! I still need to get caught up on your TR. I hate being so busy all the time!

I didn't even think of stopping on Peter Pan, I like that idea! I love that scene and everytime I ride it, I think of the bicycle chains that they use or used at somepoint with painted dots on them to be cars. :rotfl:

We are at 20/18 days until our trip!!

No time for cute pictures today...busy busy.

Question of the Day....

What is your favorite non-park/non-downtown Disney activity to do or place to visit?

Jen - The Spa at Grand Floridian.

Leslie - Visiting different resort gift shops. I love how they are themed differently and also most times the merchandise is varied.

What is your answer?

Favorite non-park thing to do? I think it is hanging out at the pool at whichever resort we are staying at or shopping at Downtown Disney. :goodvibes

Sitting on the beach at the GF and reading a book.

I gotta go with DVC pool hopping! Jen and I had a blast with this in September. Especially that GF pool. GORGEOUS!

I am in total agreement.... we did the Poly and Boardwalk pools last summer! I hope to do this again!

I know Happydog.....Pool bar hop! ;) The best of both worlds!!!!

Non-park and non-Downtown Disney? Hmmm.... I think taking pictures around the resorts. Is that too obvious?

sit on the balcony with a drink and a book.

Pool hopping may become higher on the list, or just going to the pool, on the may trip. Right now it's not very relaxing with the kids.

There's so many, but if I have to pick one, I'd say tea at the Grand Flo. :thumbsup2

Helloooo again....slowly making my rounds!!! ;)
You are so close!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

Jen I love your Weekender!!! I have the same one!! :woohoo: That has been one of my favorite patterns for quite awhile. I bought my Mom a hipster for Christmas....I don't know what it is called but it has pretty dahlia flowers on it...so I bought one too :rolleyes1 a hipster of course and I think it was from last summer but I always loved it. Make me blush I think? :lovestruc

Okay on to the questions....I loved this countdown on the last TR :thumbsup2

Something I have done...but something I miss....20,000 Leagues and the original Figment :goodvibes

I would love to be able to get out and walk around HM.....how cool would that be?!! I have been stuck in the graveyard and in the hallway by the knight where it is freeeeeeeezing!!

I think Space Mountain would make a stellar movie :rotfl2:

For a resort to stay in....would love to go to DLP someday....but how about a really nice suite on one of the ships and sail to the Mediterranean :sail:

Hanging out by the pool is one of my favorite things to do...and the games they play...Bingo, trivia, etc....fun :thumbsup2 Although...hmmm is eating an activity? :rotfl2:

Tracy

Woo hoo for getting so close!!! :cool1:

OK, resort that I would want to stay at that I haven't stayed at yet...probably the Grand Californian at Disneyland. It reminds me a lot of the Wilderness Lodge and plus you can't beat a private entrance into California Adventure! Of ones we have stayed at the Polynesian.
