Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

What ride do you not want to be stopped on??? Do tell, LL!

That is interesting, I am curious which one Leslie wouldn't be stopped on...I could think of a few more...besides Everest...I think the vultures saying "Can't Turn Back Now" on Splash Mountain would NOT be okay for me to stop at...I barely make it through that scene the first time, if it stopped there I would cry and try to climb out LOL!!!

My biggest ride stopping fear is Splash Mountain right before the big drop. While waiting for Marc to ride back in September the ride stopped for about 10 minutes and you could just see the front of one of the logs and it nearly gave me a panic attack and I wasn't even on the ride! That is a big part of my fear while riding Splash Mountain! :scared1:

Three weeks from this very moment, I should have just about landed in Orlando!!:banana::banana:

The best thing about traveling to Disney in January is that November & December are a blur of Holiday Hoopla and then BOOM, it's January and you leave in three weeks. Ahhh, it's a fantabulous feeling!

Question of the Day....

What Disney attraction do you think should be made into a movie?? Like what Disney did with Pirates of the Caribbean :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 or Haunted Mansion :confused3:confused3.

Jen - Expedition Everest, she even gave me a title for the movie "Search for the Yeti".

Leslie - I'm going with Jungle Cruise. I can imagine a campy fun movie made out of Jungle Cruise.

I went shopping yesterday, I still have bag angst. I went to my local Vera Bradley retailer and found another pattern I like in addition to Very Berry Paisley...In a Tree. How cute is that!?! They do have mailbags in those patterns so I'm just thinking so more on it. I tried on my sling backpack that I have, like the one Marc & I used in September and I am just not feeling it. Why do I always have such park bag angst? It's becoming a joke!

I did buy most of the toiletries I needed and I also bought a cute 20 inch pink duffle bag to use as a carry on. My purple carry on suitcase is a pain to deal with on the plane, so I wanted something a bit smaller. The best thing about it was it was on sale at Target for $6.98!

:yay::dance3::yay:

THREE weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1:

I can think of a lot of rides I wouldn't want to be stopped on, though in most it's the WHERE you get stuck that can be the real issue.

I do have a story on that coming up soon.....

Ride into a movie. Hmmn. I'm going to with....

Space Mountain

although I love the idea of EE!

I always have bag angst as well. The one that I think will be perfect for my trip could always use a little improvement. Good luck in your search for the perfect park bag!

About the movie...hmmm...I think Maelstrom would be good!

Why has it taken me so long to get caught up on all my favorite PTRs?!?!?!?? Oh well.....mission accomplished.....all caught up......at least I caught up before this changed to a TR! HA!

:)

So excited for you all that the trip is going to be here in NO time!

Oh, I am a few updates behind.... But I wanted to chime in on the extinct attractions question: Mine would be Journey into Imagination with the Dreamfinder. I think it would be such a fun and uplifting ride! :goodvibes

But Horizons would be a close second. And you inspired me to look for a video of it on this one page which I knew had lots of great video about all kind of stuff from the Disney theme parks: Martin's Videos. And I watched the one hour Horizons video to be found here: http://www.martinsvids.net/?p=35 It isn't just a ride through, but info about the history as well as an edited ride through with different camera angles. He has lots of other great stuff on his website as well. :thumbsup2

We have been stopped right near the vultures right before the big drop on Splash Mountain before, and it is unnerving. Luckily, it started moving again!

I am with you, LL, the Jungle Cruise would make a fabulous movie!!! At least in my eyes! ;)

That is exactly how I am. I wish I could combine a few of my bags together to make the perfect park bag!

Oooh, I didn't even think of Maelstrom, very good answer!

Time really is flying by, I can't believe it's almost here.

Another good answer!

I don't think I would survive if I stopped on the incline before the big drop, I think I would have an anxiety attack for sure.

I knew you would appreciate Jungle Cruise as a movie!

Woo Hoo for being nearly time to head to Disney! :woohoo: I'm terribly jealous, but can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Sorry for the lack of question yesterday, it was one of those days!

Jen has....

Days.

I have....

Days.

Time is just flying by!

Question of the Day...

What resort (money is no object) would you like to stay at the most, that you haven't stayed at before? It can be ANY Disney property from all over the world.

Jen - The Polynesian. To be fair, I asked Jen last night and didn't include the whole world aspect so she may change her answer.

Leslie - The Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris. I am dying to go to Paris and of course that would include a stop at Disneyland Paris!

What is your answer?

Tough question, for quite some time it would have the Polynesian, but I was so lucky to stay there with the best discount ever (pay 4 nights, get 3 free and a 200 $ gift card).

I think it would be one of the Tokyo Disneyland Hotels, possibly the Ambassador? But the Disneyland Hotel in Paris and the Boardwalk are very very close behind!!

I am loving your countdown. Since we added a night on the beginning of our trip we are arriving on the same day you guys leave but we aren't getting in til 10pm on the 1st.

If I could stay at any Disney property it would be the Polynesian. I :lovestruc the theme. It reminds me of my time in Indonesia.

I think park bag angst is like a right of passage. Much like shoe angst and packing angst. Just goes with the territory. I'm not familiar with the berry pattern, but I have seen the "In a Tree" and it does look super cute, so I am no help there.

Other than the fact that I'm a Vera enabler, which means I shouldn't even be part of this conversation since I'll just tell you to buy both. :lmao: Bad Kat!!!

I think something to do with the concept of Spaceship Earth would make a neat movie. Just going through a couple or a few of the time periods would make for great cinema.

Narrated by Jeremy Irons though. I'm not on the Dench bandwagon. ;)

:rolleyes1NICE!!!! :rolleyes1 I wouldn't mind getting stopped there either!! You often go by it to fast to appreciate all that he says and all that eye candy LOL!!!!!

You know, I did notice some other things like the staging of the treasures, and the tilt of the chair, and the parrot...

Um, yeah.

Did you believe that? pirate:

Oooh, I have stopped there too! It is fabulous, he has some witty dialogue for sure.

I have never seen the Tapestry of Nations parade but you are not the first person to tell me that they miss it!

I do miss it, so much. It was great. :thumbsup2

Totally missed the most recent update, silly me!

What resort...hmmm.....

truthfully, I think the resort I'd most like to stay at is the new one they're building in Hawaii. Hawaii is sort of a dream destination for me, and I've been lucky enough to stay at almost all the properties in Disney World, so I'd have to say that. I think they'll do a beautiful job and it would be nice to take a vacation like that but still have that Disney managed feel.

Being of course, that I had unlimited funds and could afford whatever they're going to charge for that privilege. :lmao:

I think mine is still Grand Floridian. I think it just dates back to my childhood dreams, but I think until I stay there---even for just one night---it will always be my dream resort. Hmmmmmmmm.......maybe someday!!!! :)

Yay for a trip in the "teens"!!! ;)

Hmmm...resort choices. I would love to go to Disneyland Tokyo some day, but I also would enjoy trying the GF for once. That is a resort I have been up and down about, I guess that is what happens when you a mom to boys!!! But actually, I bet it is a neat place to stay... and I mean a suite, of course!!!!

I don't think my place would change I would still love to stay at the Poly, but I'm going to be more specific and say I want to stay Club Level at the Poly WOOT WOOT!!!!

And Kat...I didn't believe for a second that you noticed anything but that handsome pirate: LOL

THREE WEEKS, THREE WEEKS....holy moly do you know what I have to do in THREE WEEKS....now begins the panic it's creeping in LOL :scared1:
