Doubloon Lagoon or Old Man Island?

We are planning a resort day and want to spend it poolside, we are staying in POFQ but don't mind walking over to POR if the pool is better. What is everyone's preference?

POFQ is a cute pool with a great water play area for younger kids. The pool is great and the slide is fine.
Once my daughter got older she would consider the POFQ slide lame and much prefer the POR slide.

Under 7, POFQ is fine. 7 and up POR
I'd say do both anyway.. very different atmosphere

No kids, just me and my best friend (22 years old) celebrating our graduation!

I agree with others.
For young kids, POFQ will be more enjoyable.
For older kids, teens, and couples, POR.

If I wasn't traveling with kids I wouldn't waste the time to go over to POR. The pool at POFQ would be fine for me.

Does it have to be one or the other? Could you maybe start over at POR then wander over
to POFQ for the end of your resort day? It seems to me that way you could experience
both and then decide which one is better. They are so close if you don't like one you can
go to the other.

I did that on my first trip to POFQ and found neither is better. Each one is different and
worth the visit.

If you're staying at POFQ, I'd use Doubloon Lagoon. I like to easily go back and forth between my room and the pool.

With no kids, I'd stay right at POFQ...unless the slide is very important to you. I like to be close to the room if I need to grab anything. We always forget something!
