I've got friends coming down tomorrow for a volleyball competition and they are staying at the Double Tree. What do we need to do to get them early entry and can they do a boarding group for Tron at 7am or at park opening? We only stay onsite so I"m not familiar with how the good neighbor hotels work. Thanks!

First, Doubletree is not a "Good Neighbor Hotel" it is an "Official Walt Disney World" hotel. Good Neighbors get no early entry or park benefits. Just for anyone reading so there is no confusion.

For the ones that do get EE I feel like there isn't a solid consistent process for each hotel.

The first instruction is to link their reservation on the Disney MDE and then Disney will see it. If they booked through Disney that should have automatically happened. "Link a Resort Reservation To Your Account" is what they should look for.

If they can't make that work they should go see Concierge at the hotel and have them try to work through the process. If they can not they are to give you a special "magic card" that you can show at the park to gain entry. It is also suggested to have available your reservation email available.

They can book Virtual Queues at 7 am with everyone else. If you are Friends and Family on MDE I suggest one of you book for everyone so you get the same return time - if you want to ride together.

They have to wait until the park opens to book $ILL (Individual Lightning Lanes).

Good info and will add that we have had no issues linking a doubletree stay to MDE. Just scan in with magic band or whatever for EE.

We couldn’t link with Hilton LBV for some reason even after several calls to Disney and Hilton. It turned out not to be a problem though. I mentioned it at check in and they gave me a card for EE as HopperFan mentioned. No sweat.
