Doubletree Cocoa Beach using Priceline -- any problems getting two beds?

I now am beginning to regret booking our room via Priceline, because even though I got a great rate I am worried that there will be a problem getting a room with two beds (there are four of us) especially since we will be arriving shortly after midnight. (Even though everyone says to just call the resort and tell them that we need a room with two beds, when you get down to it the Priceline info says they do not guarantee two beds.)

Any reassurances about the folks at the Doubletree and any experiences there after using Priceline would be much appreciated! :Pinkbounc

Tinkmom,

We've probably had about 10 Priceline experiences the last couple of years and have always ended up with two double (or queen) beds in a non-smoking room. In fact, our cruise trip we've got three scheduled, two nights in Orlando (Best Western Buena Vista Resort), a night in Cocoa Beach (Holiday Inn), and finally at the Airport Holiday Inn following debarkation. The best advice I have is to call the hotel shortly after making the reservation and discuss it with them---they are usually very accommodating.

Unfortunately, we don't have direct experience with the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach, I've recently stayed at one in Santa Ana (CA). We didn't have any problem getting a room with double beds there. We did have a problem with getting a non-smoking room (we had called to request but when we arrived none were available--after some discussions with the manager they finally found one).

Good Luck - and - Good Sailing,
Greg

I always call the national chain in advance to "make sure that my on-line reservation is correct." Then I am sure that they have the right night, right hotel, 2 beds, non-smoking. This is the standard room for most Priceline hotels, even though a king bed is allowed. There are only 2 of us, but my daughter is wiggly, and I won't get any sleep if we have only one bed!

That said, I've never had any problem at all...by confirming ahead of time and having the paid in advance ressie, it is always waiting for me no matter what time I arrive.

No experience at this particular hotel, but is has always worked elsewhere. I've never had a bad Priceline experience.

we have used priceline for many different trips and have
always recieved double beds.
just call the hotel and check. they usually have less Kings
anyway, so they probably would be ok for double bed requests.

We stayed at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach booked via Priceline this past Feb. I booked 2 rooms for 2 couples and each room had 2 double beds. The chocolate chip cookes are great at check in!!!

We paid $39.00 per room via Priceline...the hotel itself was fine...nothing fancy and the price was right!!!

I have some pics in the links below. The only thing missing was a hot tub...we could have enjoyed that. The beach is right there, the pool was small but nice.
