Doubletree Club Hotel Lake Buena Vista

Has anyone stayed at Doubletree Club Hotel Lake Buena Vista? We have a group of 3 couples who are planning on spending a 4 day (3 night) weekend there. Are the rooms nice? How is the location for getting to Universal ans IOA?

I stayed there February 2004 and again February 2005. If you are a member of the Hilton Honors program, you can get the 7th floor which I believe is nicer than the other floors. The beds on the 7th floor are Sweet Dreams beds and very, very comfortable. The beds had down comforters on them. We slept great there. The rooms aren't large but big enough for a couple. The bathroom has a little throw rug on the floor which was a nice touch. At check in, each person gets a warm chocolate chip cookie which is delicious! There will also be a bottle of water waiting for you in the room. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I can't tell you anything about the pool, as we didn't use it in February. We also rented a car so I don't know how their shuttle service is. We plan to stay there again. It's close to Downtown Disney, restaurants, and shopping. We got a good rate on Hotwire.
