Double vow renewal?

My sister and I would like to renew our vows at Disney - her 10 year anniversary and my 15 year anniversary. We would have the same guests, probably under 20 people total, so we were looking at the Escape collection.

Her DH called and was told that we each have to pay the $4750 :scared1: Does that seem right? I understand paying for the extra flowers and time, but two whole fees? I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or insight with double ceremonies and the costs.

Also, I understand about the minimum stay - does that include DVC properties?

Thanks!

I can only answer one question---Yes, DVC properties do count...

popcorn:: I will be intersted to find out the answer to this one
It would seem to me that with the same guests, and presumably one cake, the only extra work for DFTW would be the extra floral involved (as the OP said). I realise there may be extra work involved for the officiant but he is hired seperately and not by DFTW anyway. I would love to know how they would justify two complete fees for what is fundamentally one event!!

1) Disney lives by the golden rule.
2) He who has the gold rules.
3) In this case, the gold is Disney's.

I would pursue this more aggressively with Disney. It's possible the person your BIL spoke with on the phone really didn't know (I doubt that this is a common question) and just made something up. That's pretty common with the phone agents at Disney, unfortunately.

I wouldn't give up until you've spoken with an actual planner, or even a supervisor, at Fairy Tale Weddings. There really is no rational reason for them to charge you two fees -- it's one event, one cake, one set-up, etc.

Thanks, one thing to check off!

Didn't realize about the officiant, thanks for the info!

Yes, I am going to call myself. Since I frequent the Theme Park board, I have seen other people say that about the phone reps, unfortunately.

Thanks for all the helpful responses!
