Double Tree Club (by Downtown Dis)

Has anyone ever stayed @ the Doubletree Club, Lake Buena Vista (Near the entrance of Downtown Disney) ? You might remember that it has a big pineapple (???) on the outside of the building. Anyway... I'd love some input if anyone has experienced these accomodations. THX !!! -Steph

My only comment is that it appears the pool doesn't get much sun, mostly shaded by the hotel, poor planning I guess.

I have stayed at the Club Doubletree many times! it's a great hotel. Great staff! Nice colorful rooms. Beautiful lobby, large pool. they have kids suites. There are a lot of different types of rooms. The kids suites have micro, fridge & coffe pot. A small cubby with separate TV, bunk beds & a single bed no separate door, and that room would have a king bed. We also had a king bed room with fridge & coffee pot. A few rooms have balconies. There is an Au Bon Pan in the lobby, a small lounge & bar. Nice business center. small gift shop. they do have a shuttle, I have never used it. Oh also a small game room.
They used to have some really great rates and as Hilton honors members we stayed there a lot. But I haven't seen many discounts for it lately, although a friend of mine got it on Hotwire for $41.00.
Funny when we stayed at the BW DD, you could see the large pineapple from the room & my son said "why aren't we staying there, i like that hotel!"
