I'm sure this is a very basic question, but I haven't been able to find the answer in my guidebooks. Can you rent double stollers in the parks ? If so, how much ? Thanks in advance.

You definately can. I think I read $15 per day but another DISer may correct it if I'm wrong.

Yes, it's $15 a day but you get a discount if you pre-purchase multiple days upfront. We rented for 5 days and paid $68 and got $5 in Disney Dollars back.

Thanks for all the info, especially the multi-day discount ... where do you make the pre-purchase (in the parks, at the hotel, or before you leave home) ?

This is a link to the Stroller FAQ page at www.allearsnet.com: click here

They have pictures of the double strollers.
I can't access the allears site from work, but just wanted to add that the double strollers at the Studio have a set of small double swivel wheels, rather than the ;arge single wheel the picture shows.

On the first park you go to, they should (but ask them if they don't...) ask you how many days you'll be needing a stroller. You receive a stroller voucher for each day's rental. On subsequent days, you will just go directly to the doorway where they're handing out strollers, and you will bypass the line to pay for the daily rental. Saves a few minutes, especially first thing in the morning. You will keep a ticket stub that serves as your deposit proof, and if you turn that in with your stroller at the end of the night, you receive a Disney dollar. If you are going to another park, you hang onto that ticket stub and use that to rent another stroller.

Also, if you are going to Downtown Disney, you can go to Customer Service and show them your ticket stub and receive free rental there as well. They only have singles there. Not sure if you could get 2 singles... we really only needed one at that point. Also, you will have to put down a $20 deposit for the stroller at DTD, but they refund it right back to you when you return the stroller.

You may also want to consider renting a double stroller from A Baby's Best Friend in Orlando (www.abbf.com). We always use them for strollers (and other things) as they are very clean and comfortable. This way we have it while we are doing things (shopping, outings, etc.) while away from the parks. It is great to have it delivered before we arrive to our hotel and waiting for us. Fabulous service and very nice people. And depending on the length of our stay it works out to be less expensive than renting a park stroller.
