We're due with our second child in November. Originally we were going to get a sit and stand stroller since DS will be 4.5. He has some special needs and I really think I'll need something where I can strap him in if has a melt down.

It will be used quite often since we'll be just down the road from Disney.

Right now we have the Britax B Agile for him. I love how big the sun shade is and how easily it folds up. We considered the Britax double but if we buy it we'd have to buy a Britax infant car seat to use in it too. We have a Graco snugride 35.

Also, I don't know how long we'll need to use it so we'd rather not spend a fortune on it.

I'll be going to the parks with both kids alone so something light that folds up nicely would be great.

Any recommendations?

I can't help exactly, since my kids are 2 and 5 and we never used a double stroller when the younger was still in his car seat only and too young to sit in a stroller by himself. But I would recommend looking into the Baby Jogger citi mini GT double. I mention this because your older child is 4.5, and the GT doubles are good for taller, bigger kids. I think it's usually said until age 6 or 7. My 45 3/4" 45 lb 5 year old still rides in ours comfortable, and can lay back if need be (he's a tad lazy!). They do sell an adaptor bar so you can put an infant car seat on one side, but I don't know details (like which brands of car seat) since we didn't buy that and just strapped him in when he was somewhere around 5-6 months IIRC. it doesn't exactly fold to the size of a postage stamp :P but in my experience no double strollers do, and this one isn't bad. I'm 5'2" 105 lbs, and I can handle it. It might be difficult for you alone, though - I just reread our post and noticed that part. You're 4.5 yr old would have to be able to get on the bus essentially by himself (you could watch him go first, but wouldn't really be able to help him at all), as you'll have your hands full with the stroller and baby. That's assuming you would wear the baby in something like a ergo carrier, I don't think anyone could handle a double stroller and an infant carseat carrier, plus everything else you'll have. I will admit my DH is always the one with it at Disney (we rent, though, we only lugged ours there once) and he has no problem but will go to great lengths to avoid the busses just because he hates to try to fit it on a busy bus. Even though so many people have big strollers there, you get some interesting looks when you get onto a bus with it at times. I must admit I don't mind his aversion to Disney busses with strollers, because that has gotten me at the Poly 3x, the GF once, and upcoming stays at the Poly and CR! We can just roll it on the monorail most of the time! We even walk between DHS and Epcot to avoid dealing with anything other than the monorail, and it works well for us. From the monorail hotels the only park we can't get to without a bus is AK. If you're alone and will spend most of your time at the MK, consider the CR s you can just walk to the MK and never have to fold the stroller.

Also, and this is just my opinion, I would't like the sit n stands for disney. Maybe I have a cheap one, I got it at a garage sale, but they don't turn very well and even though disney is mostly paved they don't push nearly as well as the doubles with bigger wheels. That's how we ended up with the city mini GT double. They don't really make an inline double that fits older kids other than sit n stands (that I found, at least. I didn't look into ones that cost thousands of dollars:laughing:). It was like a hybrid between the huge bob duallies and baby jogger summit X3 and the regular citi mini double. I was happy with it, but have to admit that we probably didn't get enough use out of it to justify the money spent. My DH thought that from the beginning, but finally relented and we got one. I don't really regret it, but really amusement park type places are the only places we use it, it's too wide for stores and that's why I got the sit n stand that I don't like but worked well in the mall before I could make my older one walk.

I hope that maybe helped a little!

Doesn't the B-Agile recline flat? I'd just use that without the car seat. In fact, I'm a mom of 6 and have always used a stroller with flat recline instead of a car seat. It's more comfortable for the baby and allows them to move more freely, plus it's not as hot.
