I hate our double stroller because it is so hard to push with the larger child in the front, but as reality has it we either take an umbrella stroller for the 4 year old and the comfy single for our 20 month old this summer which is probably overkill. . . SO. . . budget wise it looks like I may be taking the DuoGlider and forcing it through crowds unless someone thinks it would be better to take the two.
If I'm taking the DuoGlider does anyone know if they make those rain cover shields that I've seen for singles on double strollers? If so where have you seen them?
Lesley

Babies R Us? I'm sure they make them although I have never owned a Graco tandem. I have different kinds of doubles. Have you ever had problems with folding the Graco double on the tram or bus?

When I go in March I will have my 4yo and 23mo with me so I'm in a similiar situation. If I bring 2 singles, I'm afraid 4yo will end up riding on daddy's shoulders anyway, and so DH will end up pushing an empty stroller and balancing a 4yo on his shoulders!

Toys R Us had double stroller covers.

If you can't find a cover for a double stroller, could you use a Neat Sheet and maybe some clothespins? We always take one in the parks with us and it has come in handy in more ways than one. It is suppose to be waterproof.

Thanks! May be a dumb question, but what is a neat sheet and where could I buy one? Thanks.

they definitely make one b/c i bought one at a store called "Everything Baby" here in CT...not sure if it's a chain outside of this state. Check Gracobaby.com & BabiesRus.com.

Mine came from BabiesRUs. And I just have to mention that we had no trouble whatsoever taking our Duoglider! I guess I am used to folding it up and lugging it around at home, so it didn't seem that difficult to me.

And we were able to fit quite a bit in the storage basket!! We had a medium sized softside cooler filled with drinks/snacks, and we also kept the raincover/ponchos in a small backpack in the basket.

And the raincover was worth its weight in gold---we were able to cover the stroller with the kids in it (it has ventilation holes) and keep on strolling with dry happy kids. I think we could have sold the rain cover for $100 to several families who were huddled under cover with their kids in the rain. :umbrella:

The neatsheets are a thin blanket (blue). They can be found at Walmart or Kmart and I have found some at Target. They are waterproof (to a degree). I have them on the four bunks in my camper because sometimes they will be too tired and have "accidents". So far, I have not found a wet matress, which is great, and I just have to wash the neatsheet and sleepingbag. We also take them to the parks to lay out on the ground for parades and shows. We take them to the sing a longs at Ft. Wilderness to sit on in front of the movie screen, to the beach to watch fireworks. I have about 20 of them. Last December, it was also used as a blanket in her stroller as Daddy forgot to bring her jacket when he came to meet us at night. I love my neatsheets!

ps: they also make a great golfcart cover at night to keep the dew down!

I have also seen the double stroller covers at Baby Depot in Burlington Coat factory.

Another place to check is onestepahead.com. They have a wide selection of baby items. We usually get all the hard to find items here.

As many others already said, yes there is a rain cover for the duoglider by graco - I bought ours at babies r us - just wanted to let you know it cost about $19 if my memory serves me right

edited to add: sorry my DH just corrected me - the cover cost $29.99

Hi,
Here is the link to the rain covers on the
One step Ahead website.
Just scroll down and click on choose size
and you will see the double sizes. We
bought the large size for our stroller
and it worked great. It is a good quality
rain cover. Good luck.
