We want to buy a second-hand double stroller for our trip, something side-by-side. I'm just wondering, can all doubles fit through the gates going into DL? Is there just a certain size that's allowed? Or do you just fold them up when you're going in?:confused3

My side-by-side (a Combi Twin Savvy) fit just fine. I've even seen people with those huge stroller things that you can attach to the back of a bicycle in the park. Width shouldn't be an issue for getting through the gates, but the smaller the width, the easier it will be to manuever through the park.

We took our double BOB which is quite wide and had NO problems getting through the gate ir navigating the park. Total non issue.

We never had an issue at the DL gates....but the old DCA gates were horrible and they had to open the large side gate to let us in and out. My understanding is that the new gates are better.

If people insist on bringing those huge double side by sides, can they make sure they are continually looking behind them to make sure that they are not blocking the way and that people who are trying to get around them can. Don't bring them into stores or restaurants.

The nicer side-by-sides actually take up less space that many of the in-line doubles. Our new side-by-side Maclaren turns on a dime and is much easier to maneuver in crowds than our old in-line tank, and it folds up smaller.

As others have said, the gates will be no problem, but I would pick a double that folds easily for the tram, shuttle, train, monorail, etc.

If you see a mother struggling with two babies, be considerate and allow her to navigate her stroller(s). We were all babies once.

Exactly....your need to get to Indy is no more important than her need to take care of something going on with her kids.

I have a BOB double. Same width as a standard wheelchair. Should be able to get through "most" doors and gates :)
