Double stroller drama! Which db stroller should I take?

We have a Graco DuoGlider (front to back) and a Graco DuoRider (side by side). At home I use the side by side for walks around the neighborhood, and I use the front to back for shopping and stuff like that. I guess my big deciding factor would be if strollers are allowed inside the shops in the parks. I'm thinking they are not. Decisions! Decisions! Which stroller should I take to the parks!?! TIA!

the side by side for sure!!! I've taken a DuoRider and a Chicco Citta Twin side by side to Disney and never had a problem getting around in the shops. The tandem ones are so long and so bulky that the side by sides are easier to deal with both in the parks (easier to steer) and on the busses (not as bulky). With the big long ones in a crowd you have issues with people not paying attention to where they are going and just about tripping over the kid in front.

So my vote is the side by side.

So strollers are allowed in the shops! That was my big concern. For some reason, I was thinking strollers weren't allowed in them! Good to know my side by side would be allowed in. I think it will be better for the parks so they (18 month DD twins) can see everything together and interact better.

I hear many people complain about front to backs, but I've never had a problem with our's. It is my favorite one actually because it is easier to maneuver in stores.

We have AP's (free parking) so we won't be using the bus system. We will be using the monorail. I plan to just wait for the handicap car to be available.

My SBS is the same size or smaller then a standard wheelchair so that works well at WDW. The only thing is it won't fit on the monorail unless it is the HC car. (It will if you fold it up.) Last trip the CM always directed us to that cart. (How ever if someone who needed it more was around we would fold up the stroller.)

Plus if the kids are in the stroller in pictures it looks better, (can see both kids)

Mine SBS (aria twin) is a lot smaller then a duoglide and folds up much better for the bus. (I think yours is too.)

If you are going when it is rain at all, bring a rain cover.

My friend had her duoglide when she was with us for a few trips. She didn't complan too much. (but DH did on the bus.)

A standard size 'space' for a wheelchair path is 36 inches (it may be as narrow as 32 inches for a small period - like thru a doorway).

Some of the shops are kind of tight for a wheelchair to manouver and we have occasionally come to a dead and and had to back out, but if your stroller is 32 inches or less, you should be able to get thru most shops.
It's pavilions in Epcot and queues that strollers are not allowed in.

The reason I purchased the Graco DuoRider was the size. It is as wide as a standard size wheelchair. I didn't buy it specifically for Disney (but our upcoming trip was in mind).

I have a side by side umbrella stroller (McLaren) taht easily folds. you DEFINITELY want to bring your own and not rent one because if you leave the park to go to another park you will have to rent one all over again. Also, during the rainy season, it is best you pack a large plastic sheet to protect the stroller from sudden showers. Most stroller storage areas are outdoors. I saw many people leaving restaurants or rides onlyl to find their stroller sopping wet. So now they hve a stroller and have to carry their tired kid at the same time. No way to enjoy the park, thats for sure.
