Double MagicBands!

So, I changed my reservation at the last minute, and I guess it confused the system and I received two sets of MagicBands!

According to the website, both will work interchangeably. I've just got an extra set. Yay! I guess?

No worries, fortunately they were delivered almost a month before our trip, so they are sending us the rest in the next week so we have more than enough time for this snafu. Still struggling to understand how this could even happen!

I guess you found a Magicband loophole. That's pretty cool though. I had to change my reservation and basically cancel and re-book for some reason so I had to pick my Magicbands all over again.

No, they should both last the same length of time . I was just thinking if you had 2 different colors you could alternate the colors.

Maybe after the vacation I'll take one apart and see how difficult/possible it is to replace the battery

So what I think happened is I made the changes to my reservation on the SAME day that they shipped my bands. Obviously I didn't know what day that would be, but I made one reservation and canceled another so I think I got a MagicBand for each one.

Any and all bands associated with your MDE account are completely interchangeable. All the information about your trip(s) is stored within your MDE account. MBs are merely keys to access that information.

Not much reason to. The long range is only needed for photopass videos, and to get photopass without going over to the machine. Also for them to track your band as you move around. Otherwise it should be fine for opening doors, charging to the room, FPs, and getting into the parks for forever.
