Double fireworks question

We'll know for sure in the next week or two whether the MDAS cruises have two fireworks nights or not. I remember reading some technical information here saying that Disney ships carry up to the maximum amount of explosives (fireworks) that can be carried on board without being categorized as a warship. So if that's the case, when they do two fireworks shows in one cruise, are they two short shows instead of one bigger show? or do they get some sort of exception? How does all that work?

I don't know about that technical info, but on this Springs SWDAS, they had 2 fireworks shows (Pirate, SWDAS) and they were not short shows. It seemed to be the regular pirate show from what i have previously experienced, and an even longer Star Wars themed show. I presume MDAS to be the same way.

We were on the inaugural SWDAS and they were originally supposed to do two fireworks shows, but then they said they weren't, then they were, in the end they didn't and we are still not sure if that was because of the weather issues we had or not.

I would think that if they are indeed carrying the maximum fireworks available that they could just put a port day in between show nights and pickup more fireworks while in port.

Yeh, but Fireworks can be picked up from just about any port as well.

Not all of them. The Magic is still doing them in Feb out of Miami.

Correct, so more accurately I should have stated the 2017 MDAS cruises port at PC. So maybe the MDAS cruises out of Miami won't get 2x fireworks. I guess all of it is speculation at this point until this weekend then we should know what happened on the current MDAS cruise.
