Double fastpasses for DVC?!

There seems to be some sort of glitch that will allow you to put your KTTW card for your DVC reservation in and get a fastpass... then stick your park ticket in and get another fastpass... so in a sense a double dip of fastpasses.

I'm sure this glitch will be resolved before my Oct. visit but any of you going very soon might be able to try it out!

I did see this. We go in a week and I am going to try it. The worst that will happen is it spits out nothing.

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that those doing FP+ testing can still use regular FP so the KTTW are activated in some way.

I'll certainly post if it works...

This does work because all KTTW cards have to be active at all times for the FP machines since many tickets are linked up to the MBs. The 2 systems are not connected or linked in anyway, shape or form. It's not a glitch, it is the only way to give testers a backup system or allow ppl to opt out of the MB test once the tickets are linked.

Yeah, that part is still part of the programming. Would be nice but...keep dreaming. LOL

Yeah, this is only going to be possible during testing. When cards go away, that's the end of that.

However, TouringPlans.com was told that the plan is to have additional FP+s available for certain types of guest, and specifically mentioned DVC members. So for example, general guests might get three a day, while DVC members or guests at a Deluxe resort might get four.

I remember when FP first rolled out, I think it was 1999, and the machines weren't coded for Disney media only. You could put in any card with a magnetic strip and get aFP. I had several credit cards and was stockpiling FPs.

Yeap it works! I found that out last week by accident and I even tried my DH's PAP card (who did not arrive until 2 days later) and also my DS's 2 room keys (I thought I lost it, and I asked front desk to print me another one, then I found it under the blanket.) That probably will be the last time we can take advantage of the original FP system, and get stack of FPs, so I didn't feel bad for it at all. Next year, we will all be back to the standby lines after 3 rides every day.

Yes it works, but it is not only for DVC members. It is for anyone with a KTTW card without a ticket attached. You can get a fastpass with your KTTW (room only) card, and another one with no wait with your ticket/annual pass.

As a PP said, it is because the KTTW cards are all activated as a back-up to the magic band system. So the FP machines will just accept them as if they were tickets. Yes, it will go away once FP+ is fully rolled out and there is no need for backups.

Actually, it will go away when FP+ is fully rolled out because there will no longer be FastPASS machines at all. You'll have to go to a handful of iPad-based kiosks where you can manage your MyDisneyExperience account.

Yes, this has been working for us. We have been here for a week and today is the last day of our AP's. It has definitely helped but not to the extent I would have expected due to the crowds. I also talked to our sales guide since we are buying GFV and asked if we could get any instant fast passes. DVC is no longer allowed to give them out due to the new system going into place.

I understand it's not just for DVC reservations. It works for any KTTW with a separate AP or MMYW ticket.

If everyone even just here on the DisBoards does this, I can see FP going faster than ever. TSM will be out of FP's by 8:30 AM.

Now that is a perk I could wrap my head around! I'm still not sure I like the idea of limiting how many fast passes you can use a day though.

Here now and this is indeed working..we were able to use our KTTW cards to pull FP's and they do not have our tickets on them...
