:dance3: Fiona's fever broke! Woo Hooo!!!! 98.8! She's still not feeling great, but that means her ears won't be hurting her and maybe the croup is getting its backside kicked, too!

Yay!

Brandie

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa party: :cool1:  :dance3: :cheer2:

Let's hope the worst is Over...

*looking around the house at the devastation from a 2 year old* *dryly* Oh yeah, she's UP and running again... :rotfl: She is going to day care tomorrow, because I don't think the house can stand against a BOOOOORED babygirl for another day!

Glad to hear she's getting better. I can empathize all too well on the interrupted sleep. We've dealt w/the 'fun' of croup before. This time though, our DD has been dealing w/almost 2 wks worth of coughing at night (not croup) - bad enough to wake all of us up. There's nothing quite like being unable to help your child at all - very frustrating. Finally got an Rx last week which helped, but still 'we' weren't sleeping all the way through the night. (DH did switch off w/me on which one of us got up w/her during the night.) After another dr's visit yesterday, it was decided that yes, perhaps this is an 'asthma cough' after all (he was originally looking at it being a virus). So now, she's on inhaled steroids through the end of winter to head off any other respiratory type things during the season. Good news is that we didn't hear any coughing last night. :dance3:

Yay for the no coughing last night!

Fiona got prednisol yesterday to fight off the croup. We've also been sleeping with a humidifier.

I hope your DD continues to improve! :thumbsup2

Yep, we're doing the oral steroid for a few days also. Fun, fun. At least she doesn't seem to have any of the bad, personality-altering side effects that sometimes happen w/kids on the oral steroids. We have enough 4 1/2 year old attitude to deal with as it is. :rolleyes1

Here's hoping both of them sleep through the night alright w/no coughing (or anything else)!

Crissi, Fiona will be 3 in December. Her latest fascination is "What time is it?" We finally figured out they are doing days of the week and time in her class, and she was asking us to draw clocks for her and tell her the day of the week. FINALLY we weren't being asked over and over what time it was; she had gotten through our thick skulls what she wanted. :rotfl: We can be taught!!!

Right now the other members of my family are having a poot contest. They are quite gleefully announcing they pooted. Hadley, can I come stay at your house tonight???? :snooty:

Did I mention she's TWO and he's THIRTY??? :rotfl:

Brandie

OK, she's about 6 months older than Erik then. His new thing is asking "What you doing? " or "What's that?" He knows the days of the week by what they have for breakfast at their sitter's house. Erik's favorite is Eggie day (Wednesday to the rest of us). They are really so facinating at this age........they are like sponges they absorb everything..good and bad.

Anyway.........sorry about the pooted contest but I know how you feel. My DH and DS love to announce it too!

I am so glad that she is feeling better.......must have been all that pixie dust and good wishes from all the Disney wackos on the DIS boards. :rotfl2:

Talk to you soon,
Crissi

Cyndifan--It sounds like you have had a frightening and exhuasting couple of weeks. I'm glad your DD is now on the mend (and sleeping):thumbsup2

I'm taking a short break to DIS so my hands can rest. I cut all the pieces for the kids' Halloween costumes (there's a party THIS Saturday) and am half way through cutting 15 flame shapes for David's Pippin costume. I am on costume overload:rotfl:

We dealt with 2 years of "asthma cough" before the drs prescribed Flovent for Matthew, its a miracle worker, NO MORE COUGH, hope it works well for your family

All these New Signature requirements are really making me depressed :sad2:

I have to cut off so much of my signature that is just looks so bare :guilty:

I hear ya...I was just trying to adjust mine. It's better than it was but still!! I think my cruise logo is going to have to come off. My ticker already is cut, and frankly, I would rather see my countdown!

Here's my post to see what if anything happened with my siggy. Hopefully we will all adjust and things will settle down. Lois

Well I got rid of my ticker. I have another way to countdown and I like seeing my past cruises and future plans in my siggy. Hopefully this will help with the speed of the site. Only time will tell. I have to keep telling myself " Change is good Change is good" Lois

Yes time to get creative with are siggy's again. Just need to figure out how to make it work.

I had to take out my Boo a week early:sad2: just to get my cruise list all to still fit. And I always thought I had a rather bare bones signature compared to most! Hopefully this will speed up the DIS--that would be good.

This is one of those mornings when I really, really love living in New England. The leaves are at their absolute peak here at my house and out every window I see several vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange (too chilly for the deck this morning--37 degrees).

OMG! Looks like they took care of mine automatically! Guess I'll have to tweak it again! ;)

It will be nice to not have to scroll through so much stuff. But on the other hand, I really enjoy checking out others' sigs.

Remember you can go wide. I did ot lose anything by just going wide. To connect the pics just make sure there is no space between the images.

Shoes99...thanks! I hadn't tried moving the logo AFTER the ticker. I got different results that I'm happy with!!

Hi Dear Niece Stacy.
I'm watching the TV, Joe Torre just turned down a one year contract with the Yankees..... Joe is OUT, WHO is in?

Well, you know Andy is a Mets fan.. But.. I do think he did the right thing..
as for who is coming in.. I'm clueless..

Andy just left for a Devils game without me  But, the tickets weren't his, so I know it wasn't his decision.. Plus.. he did Ask my permission first before he said Yes, he'd go  I've got a Good one :goodvibes
