Hi everyone. My family and three other families will be joining you all on this cruise. We booked it while still on our 4-day March 4, 2007 cruise on the Wonder. For that cruise, the cruise meet thread like this one was only started about two months before the cruise. I could not believe it when I found this thread and saw how long it was and how many people are participating. Tonight, once the kids are in bed, I will read through the 25 pages of posts to come up to speed.

For now, it will be me, DW, DD (9 when we cruise) and DS (6 when we cruise) on the cruise. We ahve a category 9 cabin on Deck 2, but may be switching to a category 8 cabin to move up a few decks. Both of my wife's sisters and their families have decided to join us as well as another family that we have been friends with for years. Still working on a couple of others.

:cheer2: WELCOME ABOARD!!!! :cheer2:

Welcome Doug
My DD will be 9 and DS will be 6 when we cruise, I think a few of us have talked about pen pals for the kids once the cruise gets closer, that way they can all know someone in the clubs!!!!!

Long thread already. I'll have to go back and read through.

We just booked this morning. We had been planning on an Eastern later in October, but we did the double dip last year and loved it!

We're Julie (me), Steve (dh), dd Sadie (will be 14), ds Sig (will be 10), dd Madalyn (will be 4) and ds ????? (is in the process of being adopted from Ethiopia we're hoping he'll be 5-7).

This will be our fourth Disney cruise, second double dip. We can't wait!

Julie

Hi again everyone! This board has been busy..it took me quite some time to read everyone's posts and get up-to-date again. Things here have been hectic..my daughter was in the hospital for a week in February and with doctor appointments and everything else, I haven't been able to check-in for a while. That said, please count me in for tea. I am so excited about a palo tea..it's not offered on the 4 night Wonder and I love tea parties. When my daughter was younger (she's 14 now) we always had tea parties and I miss them. A tea with Dis friends is perfect.

This Cruise will be Better Anyway :rolleyes1

Thanks for the welcome!

Okay, I'm only up to page 17, so I don't know if anyone gave the link to the Costa Mayan ruins tour where you can take supplies to the kids. We went with these guys (David and Ivan) in 2006 and they were great. David was our guide, and he was able to keep everyone in our immediate group interested from the almost having a PhD American historian to my then 8 year old ds.

They're at chacchobenruins dot com (I don't remember terms of service for the dis and I'm not sure if I can post the direct link). David told us they're trying to offer other tours: nature observation oriented, kayaking, etc. We're going to just hang out at the beach in Costa Maya this time, probably unless our newest addition really want to see the ruins.

Still reading.

Is it too late to get in on tea? I love tea, but have only gotten reservations as part of a group.

We did brunch in the private room on the September '06 double dip and it was very nice.

Hi guys, I have a question...

Has anyone here made or transferred their reservations for this cruise w/ Dreams Unlimited?

We originally booked thru the DCL website, but DU is offering a decent shipboard credit and we would like to transfer our reservation to them. I sent them an email but I have gotten no response. I wonder if that is because the SBC is not offered on this cruise or if it is some other reason...?

I'm all ears... :listen:

THANX!
