OHHHH ARIN...(and other Packers fans)
The local news is all abuzz about the "impending trade" which according to them is all but done to bring Mr. Favre to teh Bucs. There will be a press conference at 6:15. Wonder if they are right......? We shall soon see!:rolleyes1
That has been a rumor for a couple of months and now it looks like it may be true  It is a sore subject in our house right now :sad2: We were really upset when he retired, but this is devastating for true to the core Packers fans. If this happens my whole family will have to retire our #4 jerseys and buy new ones for the cruise ;)

This is all over the news here in MN too. While I'm not a football fan my cousin's husband is a die hard Packers fan and he said it would kill him to see Farve play for the Vikings.

But playing for the Bucs is OK, right?;)

Yeah.... it's a shame he didn't finish his career there (I guess he still could if he changes his mind again...who knows what could happen!), but I have to admit, I'm excited. How good is that game gonna be if THIS happens??? Goodness, will anyone be out on CC or will we all be in Diversions!?!?!?!

I must be odd man out but I will be on the beach. Could care less about football or almost any sport for that matter. And to boot get really angry to think what we pay them to play while our police and other service workers who put their life on the line stuggle to make ends meet day to day. Can you tell I am a social worker? Lois

Lois-our fmaily will be out on the beach with you:thumbsup2 I think it is great that many of you get so much enjoynment out of the games (and hey, if you want to leave me a nice empty beach at CC, who am I to complain;) ) but we have never cared to watch much in the way of sports ourselves. Dave and I both have a tendancy to be oblivious and invite soemeone over for dinneror something and have them look at us like we are from Mars and ask aren't we going to be wathcing the Sox (or Patriots) like everyone else? We never even know when the games are:rotfl:

Great to know we will not be alone. Party on the beach!!!!

46 days and still counting!!!

Hey - count me on the beach!! I will watch football if it's on and I'm not actually doing anything else but I don't necessarily book things around football games. That being said, the Eagles are playing the Sunday night game (I believe) so that might warrant a stop or two in Diversions!

Oh honey!!! I'm so sorry!!! Telling you that I've done the same thing after using fabric paint isn't going to make you feel better, I know. I can relate to your frustration though.

Were the transfer names on the pockets? If so, is it possible to take them off, flip them, then re-attach?

Thanks Kimberly. The names are at the top of the FE. I do crafts all the time......I guess it was just a bad day.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Diversions:rotfl2: See now most of you are thinking of it as the "sports bar" which is rightfully is. I, on the other hand, only go in there for three reasons:
1. Once in a great while a fun game is scheduled to be in there (but rarely they are usually in the Promenade Lounge)
2. I meander in nearly every afternoon hoping the Nacho bar is up (hmmm, I am just realizing I should pay attention to when the games are--I bet the nachos are more likely to be there if there is a game playing:thumbsup2 ). If it is there I fill my plate and head up on deck (no lingering for me:rotfl: )
3. Pub night on the last night of the cruise:lmao:

We think Brett is one of the all time great QB's.........but wish he would have stayed retired and ended his career in a blaze of glory. Don't you all think that he might be in a depression and not able to cope with being retired and not in the lime light????? NO FLAMES PLEASE

It would be a real shame if he doesn't get to be a starter on another team or worse yet be a starter and have a bad season. Just my opinion.:sad2:

DH won't allow me ;) to watch football anymore. He says I get too loud and upset. :rotfl:

You can find my pale/lobster red backside wherever there is shade. :thumbsup2 No tan stage for me; I go straight from "ghostly white" to "ouch! THAT's gotta hurt!" :lmao: And no, sunscreen doesn't really help there. DH likens my sunscreen to the type vampires/Goth kiddies must use. Here in Colorado, it takes me merely 15 minutes of waiting outside without sunscreen to start turning red.

Can you say, "Wuuuuuusss!" :rotfl:

Having lived in Hattiesburg, MS, and heard the stories... yeah, that might be the case. He sure seems to be going out on a bad note with his team.

While we LOVE football, NOTHING will keep me from Castaway Cay...it doesnt hurt that the Eagles. Our favoirte team, plays at 8:15pm sunday night:cool1: sooooooooooo, we will be on the beach, we hope to disembark as soon as we can:thumbsup2

Took everyones advice to fix my FE names...........I filled in the letters with bright fabric paint and then outlined in crystal fabric paint.

I was feeling good for having fixed the names.......but not for long......when I walked away from the bar (my work station today) my arm brushed the bottom of the stupid thing and slicker than a whistle you guessed it.......the whole thing slid and landed upside down on the floor. Now I had bright pink and bright green paint smeared on the black material and on my floor......

Thankfully I was able to wipe it off and decided enough creativity for one day......I took a nap instead.

Can't wait to start mine tomorrow xxxxxxNOTxxxxxx

OHHH NO. Been there, done that but as some one else said, that doesn't help your situation. I agree, is there a way to flip the fabric and use it again? Can you make the green and pink part of the design and use a third color for the names? I hate to see all your hard work wasted.

You will need to race us to the front of the line!! See ya there, Lois

we'll be there (ok....DS and I will be there..it might be iffy with the hubby...but he will probably be joining us). The bright side to this is that we won't have a problem getting umbrellas and chairs :thumbsup2

I sure hope it isn't the latter!!!!

You aren't alone, Brandie. I actually got a teensy bit of a tan last year but it was really more like several burns on top of each other! I am so white right now I'm glowing in the dark! It is no small feat in Florida, I'll tell you that (of course I am nocturnal!:rotfl: )

The good thing about the Bucs/Packers game is that it starts at 1 pm on the day we leave CC at 2:30...so if we get out to the island early we won't really miss much as we will be heading back to the ship not too long before we sail...sadly...Plus that is the day I am bringing Sarah out and she, with skin like me, won't be staying out there too long. We are planning the big CC bash on Friday, I (think I) have some time booked in Flounders for her so we can do all of our activities, and maybe, just maybe..FINALLY make it out to Serenity Bay!

Hadley we don't mind Nacho drive by's. Make a run for the border!;)

honey then we are wusses together and so is DS. In fact another child calls my son 'the REALLY white boy' so while Castaway Cay is great, I have a feeling we'll be taking it in small doses mixed with activities in the shade.

So I have a question for you Shell.....we've all speculated what the rotations are going to look like...but do you actually know? Because Disney is telling our travel agents that they're not solidified yet. Do you know what the rotations are? Would you be willing to post them? Like what are your options for orders of restaurants?

I'm dreadfully afraid that my Palo night is going to conflict with my first night in AP and I'll miss the show!!

Actually, no. That's what I was trying to find out.

I asked if there was a way to know the rotation before we leave and this was her response -
please let me know what time you prefer to dine...

Main dinning is either at 5:30, 5:45 or 6:00pm
Second dinning is either at 8:00, 8:15 or 8:30pm

Please let me know...

To me, that says that I can choose if I let her know. I think I'm going to ask her the difference in the rotations. Perhaps, she'll let me know the rotations at that point. If she does, I will surely tell you guys!!

OH NO!!!! I hate that. I've done the same myself. I'm sorry. It's so frustrating.

Gramto3...sorry to hear about the slip up on the project! Curious how you decide to fix it after your big nap :) I'm sure it will look awesome no matter what!!

Today is our last Cocoa Beach day. We're of the "not too much sun" variety too. Well, Jeff can get lots of sun and be OK....but Reese & I take sun in small doses. Actually, I don't know if Reese sunburns easily or not. I'm a little obsessive about sun screen application & wearing rash guard shirts. At 5, he's never had a sunburn...so perhaps he inherited Daddy's skin?

We'll be parked watching the Bears game at night.....GO BEARS!!!!!
