"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Chapter 4!

I'm sitting here at work at the front desk, reading the Dis and trying to get stuff ready for the trip! I have a pad of paper next to remind myself of things I need to pack tonight. I'm now trying to take a look at my FE list.

I'm listening to Legally Blonde the Musical on YouTube while doing all of this. It's a slow day at work...kind of nice for last day before vacation, but it is going slowly!

We have a 12 year old girl traveling with us as well.. she is very friendly and very hyper.. and I'm sure she will find your grand daughters

If any of you like Target they just marked down a lot of clothes. I was there yesterday and found a lot of shirts under $5! I also found the notebooks of paper.. 4 in a pack or 5.. can't remember. They were only 12 cents for the whole pack! School stuff is 75% off..

(We are also counting down to our first cruise.) I love Target and am planning to head there tomorrow. I bought that pack of 5 notebooks last week for 35 cents! Now I feel like I've been ripped off!

Wait a minute, I didn't get deck 2 either. Can I trade someone something for a deck 2? Pretty please. I have a fab deck 1 here..only one owner, low mileage, it's a steal!

I got about 30 FE's assembled and tagged at work last night..I think I am going to tag up 60 gifts, so I'm 1/2 way done. I'll finish them tonight. One more thing done. Oh wait. That's the only thing I'll have done..

OK - the time is getting near with folks leaving for the airport or already at WDW!

I will be a Party of One for Tea at Palo's - that is if I can even get a ressie. Would anyone like to join me? I thought we could get a small group together and one of us make the ressie. Don't we just need names and stateroom #'s?

Oh and there was one little boo-boo on the treasure map, as I was mentioned twice.

Welll...actually my username was mentioned three times (but I only have two rooms). The nenner1 on deck 6 is me (6022 & 6019)...the "nenner1" on deck 7 is actually Maggie (Her name is Maggie62266 or something like that..).
I'm not suprised she confused us as we only live like a mile apart!

Thought I'd clarify...(didn't want anybody to be dropping gifts and think "Hey there's that nenner1 again, she must be trying to get double FE's!"

I'll be heading to Rockin Bar D as soon as we get on the ship.. I wanted to try for a Tea for the Women in our group, so 5 of us, and also I'm still trying to get 9 adults into a dinner at the same time on the same day.. But.. I doubt that will happen..

Now I'm worried DH won't make it back in time. I don't even know what to think... do I go? do I call DCL and pray that they'll understand about stupid gov't bureaucracy? AUGH... I don't want to go alone.......... it's been too long since I saw my DH IYKWIM. Grrrrrr.

I am a frequent reader, but not a big poster. We will be sailing with you and I was just on the DCL website and noticed that there was Palo dinner available on Monday 9/29 (sea day) at 8:00. Hopefully someone within the group will be able to grab it.

Those of you with 10-11 year olds....

Are you letting them check themselves out of the kids clubs? And, if so, allow them to go where? My older son is a month shy of his 11th birthday so he can likely choose to go with the 8-10's or 11-12 group.

He wants to be able to check himself out and go to the pool. I called DCL and they allow 10 and up to check themselves out (with parent's permission on the form) and to go to the pool without parents.

I didn't let him do it last year - mostly cause it was our first cruise. He is in 6th grade and is typical. He is usually very responsible with things like this and very stranger wary and not the type to run around playing in the elevator or whatever.

I'm thinking of letting him do it within certain parameters (times of day, that he lets me know by page from the club or by two-way radio, only allowed to go certain places, etc).

We are letting our ten year old check herself out, but she is going to page us when she does. We told her she could go get a drink/ ice cream and then go back to the cabin. no wondering around/ no swimming by herself. She likes to be around people, so she wouldnt want to go and swim by herself. We told her if she abuses it, no self check in/out.

Also she does not have any spending money on her KTTW card, so that will also free up any temptations. My middle one would be at the gift shop everyday!

Stacy: I really hope you are able to get reservations for your group.

Well, I'm doing FE stuff and getting paid to do it! Well...I'm still working, but it's slow so I may as well take advantage of it! I'm just trying to organize things...hopefully it will help when I go around and give out the things!

I can't believe in 24 hours I'll be at the airport and heading off to WDW!

I am definitely planning on getting them to the Kids Club. They've heard so much about it from Charlie's family that they're really looking forward to it. As a first-timer, I like the idea of knowing where they are when I'm off doing the grown-up stuff.
