Double Digits - finally! *update - we've hit the teens!*

It's 12:12 am here in North Carolina which means I only have 99 days to go!

Can I gush a bit here?

This is a big family trip with 13 members. Eleven adults (one has never been to WDW, four have only been to MK, two have been to MK and Epcot only, my family of four are the only ones who've been to all four parks) and two kids (7 mos and just a month short of four - their first trip, too). We've been planning this trip since May of 2005 and it's almost here. Maybe not almost, but still...less than 100 days! I'm not much for smilies, but...

Totally understand. We're way more than that, 178, I believe, and we're all excited. We talk about our trip all the time. It'll be me and my kids, a son-in-law, a granddaughter, a girlfriend, and a buddy. We'll be celebrating my 50th and the baby's 1st birthday. My daughter and I have already picked out the things to decorate our resort windows with, and we made our ADRs Thursday. All of us here at the DIS understand your excitement. I know you will have a great family trip. It's especially going to be fun for you to open up this whole new world to the one who has never been and to broaden it for the ones who have only seen part of what Disney has to offer. Thanks! This is why I love the Disboards. While my family is looking forward to going to WDW, none of them are in that "super excited, "OMG we're going to Disney World" headspace that I'm pretty much always in. They won't get really excited for about another 10 weeks or so.

Oh my gosh I sooooooo understand we just today hit the 99 day mark and I have been counting this down since we got back last April! My DS and I talk about our trip everyday and sometimes he wants to know why dad is not as excited as we are! I just tell him its a long drive for dad while we all play games and watch movies!!
Glad I am not alone!!
Sad though that you get to go sooner than me!!

You're only 11 days behind me, though. I was so excited when I got to 99. Double digits are so much better than triple digits...of course, single digits (or no digits) are the best.

I know 11 days is not a huge difference!! I just have countdown envy
So have you already started to get things together?? I started putting things in my big Disney shopping bag about 2 months ago! Little things I would find for the kids, little travel bottles things like that. DH thinks I have flipped my lid, but last year little things were forgotten that cost me a fortune from the gift shop. So I swore I would be more prepared this year!

I've made plans (ADRs, which days we'll go where, etc.), but I haven't started shopping for stuff yet. I'm going to get knock off PassPorter pouches for everyone at Office Depot (only $3 each, I think) and make sure I have a good supply of the basics (band aids, sunblock) for everyone so we don't have to spend a ton of possible Disney time at Wal-Mart. I have my Crocs ready to go! I'm planning on ordering a couple of t-shirts from CafePress for the trip - I still need to do that. Plus, I'm going to get some stuff for my cousin's daughter Alexa, but I don't know what yet. Her grandmother (my aunt) has already bought a lot of stuff for her.

My money supply took a pretty big hit last month and I had to use about $500 of my WDW money (cat needed surgery, car problems) so I'm trying to save and replenish right now. I have a pretty good list of stuff, so hopefully I won't forget anything if I leave my shopping to the end of April.

I do have glow bracelets though! I stocked up on those last October. They were 15 bracelets for 99 cents so I grabbed a bunch!

And...77 days (11 weeks) left!

Keep counting! The ticker for our trip is a monorail, and the Mickey Ears are almost up to the first car. We have 4 months and 29 days still, but this trip started out at twelve months and some days away, so it's been a long wait. I can't wait until we get into double digits. I'm paying a little off each month. I just called in another $300 today, so we are chipping away at it. We're having fun planning and rearranging our itinerary for each day. It's so much fun to imagine where we'll be and what we'll be doing, seeing, and eating each day. The good thing about this trip is that my daughter, granddaughter, and I are going back in December, so whatever we miss, we can look forward to doing then. We'll be keeping up with your count. It'll be here before you know it!

So it's only 11:19 pm here, but we're close enough to 3 WEEKS LEFT, ONLY 21 DAYS! for me to feel a need to update. Must shop for more stuff!

So only 18 days left. I've been working on planning so much that sometimes I forgot to get excited (I've been nervous about the "whole big family" aspect of this trip). But now, I'm an anxious bundle of energy...I can't wait!
