First, we found smoking-hot air fare from Seattle to Long Beach. The only catch was we have to leave three days earlier than planned.

The GC just happened to have room to extend our stay, so now we HAVE to spend three more days at Disneyland. We'll now be there from the 17-24 of December.

I just hate when that happens! :rotfl:

I know the feeling...we added a night to our Sept trip and was able to switch from the DLH to the CG for the whole trip. Oh darn! Gotta love those SWA fares $49 each way! :cloud9:

You poor poor dear. I admire your courage in the face of adversity. :rotfl:

What a great trip to look forward to!

Where's that jealous icon..... We are most likely switching our trip from 5-6 days in mid-Feb to 3 days in the height of Christmas season (Dec 27-29 at the park) The good news is we'll save enough money between the shorter trip and transportation (we'll be at my in-laws in North San Diego county for Christmas, and stop at DL on the way home.) that we'll hopefully be able to take a cruise or other vacation next year.

You POOR thing!!! Mind sharing the great airfare? Fingers crossed it's still available and I can convince DH we need a Christmas trip!

My heart is breaking for you, you poor soul. :sad1: How ever will you manage?

(Flings back of hand across forehead and sighs) I'll try to survive! :lmao:

The air deal is through Alaska, Seattle to Long Beach, $79 each way. I don't think it's going to go lower than that. The fare is good most days, except the five before Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the fares go back down to $79 (Alaska's gift to those traveling on a holiday?).

We were going to leave on Saturday am, but decided to take personal days and leave Wednesday, the 17th instead.

Go to Alaska.com, plug in your infor and hit lowest fare calendar to see fares for the entire month.

I'm so sad for you...should I go in your place? LMAO!!!

Awwwww, you need a hug . . .

 :scratchin

(trying hard to rub some of that pixie dust off onto me). :rolleyes1

Well, I want to both sympathize with you for your sacrifice and thank you for prompting me to re-check airfares. I had ours booked through Southwest already, but changed our flight times today to ones that ended up saving us $200. Not only did we save money, but we got better flight times. So, if it's any consolation :lmao: , your post prodded me into saving $200.

I live to serve. :cool2:

Seriously, a savings of $200 is nothing to sneeze at! Good shopping!

That is a great fare. I booked for our Oct trip at $99 each way (I think??) because I was nervous that fares would skyrocket this fall. Tempting to book another... But I should probably be good!

In case you didn't know, if the Oct. airfare is down to $79 as well, you can call Alaska and get a credit issued to use for another trip. :-)
