The dvc member's web site now descibes the 2nd bed in the 2nd bed room of 2 bedroom at bcv as a double couch bed,and the living room couch bed as a queen size. This is a big difference!

This is the way it is at Boardwalk - queen in the living room, double in studio (2nd bedroom lockoff). I don't think there is enough room in the studio for a queen sofa bed.

I noticed the Wilderness Lodge Villa site says 1 queen & 1 double sleeper in the second bedroom, it doesn't list the dedicated with the 2 queens.

The studio configurations have always been the double sleep sofa/queen bed. The exception is OKW with the two queen size beds. I am surprised to hear that this is carried over into the 2nd bedroom when it is not a studio. Maybe they lay them out the same as studios and the two queens just won't fit.

I'm looking at the room layout of BCV in the folding brochure I have and that is definitely a double sleep sofa in the 2 BR unit. The queen sleep sofa in the LR is longer with three pillows verus the two pillow size in the bedroom unit. What bothers me the most about this whole situation is that vacation guides and CMs are telling potential buyers and even current members who make reservations that there are two queen size beds in the second BR. There appears to be a lack of communication somewhere and some poor CM is going to take the heat with all the complaints being made. They need to get their act together fast.

I was just on the phone making our reservations for next summer at BCV. They have dedicated two bedrooms there with the second bedroom having two queen size beds. So the answer is it depends. If you get a dedicated two bedroom, you will have two queens. However, if you have a lock off, the 2nd bedroom will have a queen bed and fullsize sofa. The CM told me that they reserve dedicated 2 bedrooms first. So if you are looking for two queen size beds, the earlier you make the ressies, the better.

Boardwalk prof. unfortunately, from what I understand the CM's computer screens are all saying they have 2 queen beds because they were suppose to have 2 queen beds in the dedicated villas, but for some reason unknown to all of us or the CM's at Membership Service, they don't have 2 queen beds in ANY of the 2 bedroom villas at BCV. I had a CM from MS call over to BC the other day and ask them, and they told her that none of them have 2 queen beds. You might want to double check just so that you are not disappointed. The CM I spoke with told me she was going to put out a company wide memo to let everyone know so they weren't giving out anymore mis-information. I have written a letter to DVC letting them know that I was disappointed in this.

I think (after reading all the threads on this), that this may not be true. I believe it indicates this in MS computer, but it has been proven to be an error. It is reported that ALL 2br, lock-off or dedicated, have one queen and a sleeper sofa.

EDIT: Sorry Terry, we posted at the same time.

No big deal Maistre, I think it is wonderful how everyone on these boards jumps in to answer questions.

This whole thing seems kind of bizarre and I can see why BCV owners are confused about what they bought. While DVC may not change the set-up, I would think they could at least provide you with an explanation of why information was released that there would be 2 queen beds in the dedicated units.

I can't recall, does the offering statement detail how the rooms will be set-up? If it does, the information there should be what is in the rooms.

I agree Pam, I would like to know why? I am hoping that if someone gets some type of answer, either while talking on the phone with MS or a guide or a reply to an E-mail or a letter sent that they will post it. The other question I am curious about is if and when we get an answer will it be the truth!

Good question, Pam. I don't have a public offering statement from BCV but the multi-site public offering statment does not contain any configurations or lay-outs. Neither does my Vero or OKW only public offering statements. There is a description of a dedicated two-bedroom and a two-bedroom lock-off and it only lists number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, sleeping capacity and whether or not there is a full kitchen. It also lists pools, recreation facilities, spas, etc. There is another section that talks about decoration of units or vacation homes. It states that the Association shall determine the interior color scheme, decor and furnishings of each Unit and each Vacation Home as well as the proper time for redecorating and renovating the Unit and its contents. My best guess is that the two bed choice or not would fall under this latter section.

Hi, just got back, had a studio, locked off a 1 bedroom I assume as it had a door to go thru to the next room. My studio was a queen bed with a pull out sofa that was also very uncomforable, not because of the mattress but because it was slightly inclined.

Also had a handicap room, not that I need one, but that's what we got. Rm 328, with the big balcony for a wheelchair to roll out onto, it was a pool view under one of the big center outside turret ( I think thats what you call em).

Gonna post a full report when I can.

When we bought our add on at the BCV last April, we took a tour of the models over at the BW. I overhead a CM tell someone that the two beds/ sleeper sofa and bed were both queens. I told him that I thought the sleeper sofa was a double like at the BW and he quickly said no. A little while later I saw him as we were leaving and he told me that he was wrong and I was right. He had checked it out.

I could have told him that, but I didn't want to embarrass him in front of a customer.

when did you book your reservation for BCV....??

what time did you check in...??

did they tell you they were putting you in a handicapped room..??

just trying to make sense of how they "put" people who do not need it into handicapped rooms

Booked in March, although there seem to be plenty of room there.

I could have moved I guess from a handicapp room to a different room, just didn't bother. I think they were trying to accomodate my request for pool view.

The room was OK but the bathroom completely flooded out, also noticed alot of little things that were broken or just not completely right. (Like the heat in the hallways one day.)

I get the impression they rushed to get this resort built.

We checked in around 2 p.m.

I'll post more tonight.

Have fun

Hi,

I made reservations at BVC for next June today, and the CM wanted to point out that right now there is a couch in with the queen bed. She made a big effort to explain that dvc has queen beds and bedding on order to replace the sofa, but she could not guarantee it by next June.

I had to laugh (while I was thinking it pays to point out mistakes).

So I guess eventually the 2 bedrooms will be getting the 2 queens as promised!
