Double checking! Upgrading to Power Pass & using APH rate

I just updated my PB reservation to APH rate. We have the buy two day park to park get the third day free ticket from Undercover Tourist, and I plan on upgrading those to Power Passes once we enter the park.

Will that be ok? We check in on Thursday night, and won't be going to the park until Friday. And the UT tickets have an expiration of May 31, 2016 on them, will that affect upgrading to the Power Pass?

once you upgrade, your expiration for the AP will be one year from the time you activate it.
meaning use it to get into the parks.

As long as you show a valid AP before check out, you're good with the APH rate

About that expiration date, it has no impact as long as you upgrade to AP before the ticket expires

Check for blackout dates on power pass for your dates

Thanks! We are going in a few weeks (April 28-May 1) so I think that's beyond the blackout dates for this year.

You should be fine. We did the exact same thing last week, upgraded from those UT tickets to power passes and stayed at Royal Pacific on the APH rate. The upgrade was at no additional cost at all.

Interestingly, the hotel never even asked to see our annual passes at any time.

Awesome information. Thanks so much. We are planning on a Memorial Day Weekend trip and got an amazing APH rate at Portofino. Of course, I still have to purchase the APH. But now I have great info to do so!
